The guy is pretty impressive. Went to Harvard Law, became president of Harvard law review. Taught law at Chicago, published two books. Served as senator.
Does any of this jar for you?
Well, he went to Harvard ... somehow only a liberal would find that impressive.
You really don't find that impressive?
Not when he didn't EARN it and only got accepted because of the color of his skin!!!!! WOW HOW IMPRESSIVE!!!! He didn't even show up for class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you guys make me sick
He was only accepted because he's black? He didn't even show up for class? And we make you sick?
Scotty is 100% correct on this one. I've seen the application forms.
Generally, there is a question asking "what race are you?". Also, there was a funny moment I think on this season of "Weeds" where Shane got rejected for college and turned down for student aid, but then he cleverly changed his application to say he was from a different country and race, upon which the Counselor said "welcome to College!".
Harvard is affirmative action all the way. As to your specific question of whether or not Obama was admitted because he earned it, or because of the color of his skin......I agree with Haggis 100% as well, I think we both have the same questions here. It would be nice to find out. Unfortunately, Obama has SEALED his college records....so, we will just have to take the Ivy League elite Harvard lawyer with Chicago style politics with political ambitions word for it

When the United States Supreme Court heard the first case challenging affirmative action in higher education in 1978, Harvard defended the use of race in admissions decisions.
Now, as the Court takes up the issue again more than 30 years later, Harvard is likely to lobby the Court in favor of affirmative action once again, according to University General Counsel Robert W. Iuliano ’83.
Oh yeah, and there is Obama's obsession with Critical Race Theory while he was at Harvard, but I am quite sure that is in no way connected whatsoever to a belief in affirmative action, or that he was a beneficiary of privileges and advanced placements based solely on the color of his skin.
