You start with a faulty premise- I posted an additional source, rather than quoting the the source in the OP which you didn't read.

BigBallinStalin wrote:Then it goes on with this holistic monster doing this and that without really naming names. Episcopal Church USA is one which was forced to do something by unnamed groups, blah blah blah. This is a bunch of crap, so I'm going to stop reading it.

I think if you're going to object to my arguments as being without evidence, you could at least read the evidence I post.

I think this is your third or fourth try to argue against me on this topic. Mostly they've been BS. Can I ask you what your motivation is?

Sym, I addressed your link and the inner links which were relevant to my questions. You can cry all you want about some other link or other irrelevant issues. Failure to address the failings of your position mean that you're (1) refusing to get real, or (2) wish to continue trolling.

What was hilarious was US Conservative Christian Groups = Fascist Radical.

Great critical thinking on your part, Sym. Either you've been had, or you're here to troll. Which one is it, Sym?

Furthermore,

For the past four years, (and more), the US has given roughly $410 million to Uganda each year for "AID." It's a subsidy which allows their government to spend money elsewhere (E.g. military).

So, you jump for joy when Obama spits out a bunch of words, yet you completely overlook the fact that the US still gives Uganda millions and millions of dollars which subsidizes its activities.

How much of a nonsensical Obama fanboy are you?

How short is the scope of your inquiry?

Hmm, I'm still not getting your motivation. This is a new tack for you in what's a pretty clear thread.

To outline your critcisms:

1) That I posted no evidence.

Of course I did, in the OP.

2) That I'm somehow trolling Patches.

I am not. I'm not even sure why you think I'm targetting him.

3) That my second source was my first source.

Well, you obviously read neither of them.

4) That I'm opposing US conservative Christian groups.

Hmm, I'm pretty clear that I'm opposing the Republican platform with regard to a specific policy point.

5) That I'm somehow an Obama fan-boy for posting this.

I don't get this latest attack. Are you seriously saying that this policy should be free of criticism?

You've tried a number of times to oppose a fairly simple message, and failed repeatedly.

I ask again, what's your motivation?

Some more sources:

For TGD- some of the things that the GOP are opposing with regards to the current administration:

White House Memo from Obama

Discussed here

For BBS, in spite of the trolling, I can provide this to rebut the weird "only Uganda" stuff.

Link

Indeed, U.S. pressure on this front caused Malawi, which had recently sentenced a gay couple to 14 years in prison for having sex, to rethink its radically anti-gay laws. Both Liberia and Uganda have proposed executing gay citizens as part of a continent-wide wave of anti-gay legislation aided and abetted by the American Christian Right. Further, anti-gay stigma and legislation contribute significantly to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, suggesting that confronting these problems is critical to addressing the health issues foreign aid is supposed to address.

That ok guys?

Yes, that's acceptable to me. I'm not questioning your criticism of the Republican party, because it's valid. Rather, I'm questioning whether what the Republican party's platform states AND what the Obama administration has done will accomplish anything of substance in African nations (apparently, it did something in Malawi). And, further, I'm questioning what motivates certain U.S. governments to become involved in other countries' affairs.

And this is exactly the kind of stuff that has me concerned about the Republican party.

That's fair comment, and I would say that while I'm not going to say that the Obama administration has been great, at least they did something and adopted a principled position.

The repub platform opposes even that.

It may not be much to say that you oppose criminalisation and execution of homosexuals, or to step in in particular cases, but it's more than nothing.

I'd like to see more done, and the GOP proposes less.

Republicans bring it up, and women's rights for that matter, all the time. The Democrats are the one's who are all "shhhhhhhhhh" when it comes to Islamic countries treatment of gays and females. In fact, and evidenced many times here, any time a Republican tries to stand up for women or gays in Iran (for example) it is Democrats who attack Republicans as Islamophobic for even bringing it up. So your thread is complete bullshit

But don't let that stop you from skipping over the execution of homosexuals in foreign countries get in the way of pinning the blame on the foreign act on a party you dislike in a country that does not execute homosexuals....

Troll much?

I will take your ignoring of my post to mean that you do not really care at all about the reality of the situation, but rather only care about how you can twist something and make it appear in order to make someone else look bad.

Ya know, if only you lefties would spend less time trying to make people hate your opposition, and even a sliver of time speaking positively about your own positions, maybe Leftism would not be in the decline that it is right now.

It's more likely a situation of him ignoring you in this situation because you ignore what everyone else says when it's something you don't like. Hearing you complain about being ignored is pretty hilarious, actually.

To be fair, I didn't ignore Scotty, I just found his arguments either openly dishonest or factually incorrect to a laughable level. The fact that the only person to treat his post with any degree of seriousness was Scotty himself says everything.

The list of people who found Scotty's arguments nonsensical ain't short.
