Lake Tahoe

Postby muy_thaiguy on Mon Oct 08, 2012 7:35 pm

Got back from there last night (been in Fallon, Nevada (60 miles from Reno) for 3 weeks) and it was a gorgeous sight. Took a ride to Emerald Bay on the Tahoe Queen, and ate at the Resturaunt right next to it. Great food, expensive, but delicious. And I was on the California side for that. Just an all around good time. Anyone else been up there?

Yes, used to be a long day trip for me.... one of many of the most beautiful places on Earth to be found in CA. (Yosemite, Muir Woods, Trinity Alps, Redwood National Park, Point Reyes Seashore, ... etc.)

If you get the chance, you would probably enjoy Crater Lake (OR), as well.

Don't know if I'll ever get up to Oregon, but Lake Tahoe is only about a 2 hour drive from Fallon, so not too big of a drive at all. But yeah, very nice place, and would not mind visiting it again someday.

I lived in Reno for three years. Tahoe is, indeed, gorgeous.
