Good Economic Policy

...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.

Looks like he's getting tired of dealing with the shit that D.C. flings on his company.

Gotta love that false title though: "The CEO Who Built Himself America’s Largest House Just Threatened to Fire His Employees if Obama’s Elected"

They took a lot of liberty and freedom with that one.

". If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company. "

That one?

How is it that to pay someone to vote is illegal... but to threaten to fire someone because the person they dislike is voted in is not?

Not really because even if all his employees vote for Romney, and Obama wins, he will still fire them.

I see, so you don't think the threat matters.... Or that because he cannot identify the individual employees, there is no impact?

Gabon makes a good point, but if you can't tell the difference between a threat and "if A happens, then I'll have to do B in order to keep the rest of us afloat," then what does that say about you?

How is it that trading free cell phones for votes isn't illegal.

Do you really care about politicians buying votes at all?

That was not the original quote. The original quote was "if Obama wins, I will fire everyone in my employ". Maybe that was an incorrect quote, but that was the quote to which I referred. I have heard it quoted that way elsewhere (no, not on NPR).

The comment you just quoted is stupid rhetoric, but not a threat of the same level. That is more like the NRA telling everyone they had to vote McCain because if Obama was elected he would take all our guns. Funny.. we still have every one of ours here. We even bought a couple since Obama was elected. People do stupid grandstanding. Unfortunately, plenty of other people are just stupid enough to believe them.
