yeah...pretty much just rippin on hippies and lookin at the results of their mass exodus to "california dreamin". Now the golden state is the piss poor broken state that hands out IOU tokens (before 2008 even!) because they don't even have enough money for tax returns, in a state where the taxes and regulations are higher/as high as anywhere else. But yeah, like Neitze says, Hippies and the soulless offspring of hippies raised in hippie households have NOTHING to do with burning down the golden state they all flocked to for a generation while burying the next 2 generations in their debt.

Of course, California just thinks the federal government will bail them out. That's not a hippie attitude tho

A minor technical nit pick. The creation of reservations was done after the colonies became states and united in a war of independence. At the time of the signing of the Declaration, the Five Nations of the Iroquois was still a strong presence in most of Western New York and they had a
relationship with the founding fathers. Jefferson's substitution of "the persuit of Happiness" instead of the more traditional "Property" may have been influenced by discussions with the Iroquois. Note that it was the revolutionary war that split the nations (Pressed to join one side or the other, the Tuscarora and the Oneida sided with the colonists, while the Mohawk, Seneca, Onondaga and Cayuga remained loyal to Great Britain) that caused their downfall.

Since I am more familiar with the Iroquois (being from New York) I am not familiar with the relations of the natives of the Southern Colonies, which I believe was more confrontational.
