Past tense of 'shit'

Has anyone else wondered about it? Shitted? Shat? Then what's the past participle? Shut? Shatten? I dunno. What do you guys say?

I dunna, but I can say that my personal opinion is towards the idea that the past tense of 'fit' is 'fat'.
For example:
It used to fit; It fat.
Thus:
He/she used to be fit; He/she is fat.

Proper English = "I've shit myself." (use past tense participle to avoid this dilemma).
Proper English = "I shit myself." (plain old past tense should work, but it sounds weird), soo..
More fun english = "I shat myself." (lulz)

Both 'shit' and 'shat' are correct forms for the past tense.

I remember in some Stephen King book one of the characters refers to her birth parents as her father was her mother because her father shat her out of his ass. I remember this very vividly. The book must have been edited several times, Stephen King being a bestselling author and all. This I trust. To those of you who just googled it: blehhhhhhhhhhhhh.
