Impressive feats by professional athletes

1. Justin Blackmon, only an NFL rookie for a couple months, blows a .24 and is arrested for DUI. Think about his BAC prior to getting into the car. This kid is a tank. Now if he can catch as well as he can drink, the Jaguars might turn things around and stay in Jacksonville.

2. Angel Cabrera consumes 9 "Tiger Woods cheeseburgers" at the dinner with Augusta National Members after winning the 2009 Masters tournament. That's 72 holes of golf, 9 cheeseburgers, and 1 fucked up heart.

Post other impressive soccer feats (no Stephen Gerrard punching some guy when he's drunk isn't impressive).

And no food eating bullshit. It's not a sport.

Lance Armstrong losing a testicle, pretty impressive though.

Shelford made his Test debut for the All Blacks later that year against France in a 19–7 victory in Toulouse, and then was a notable victim of the infamous "Battle of Nantes" in the second Test. Roughly 20 minutes into the match, he was caught at the bottom of a rather aggressive ruck, and an errant French boot found its way into Shelford's groin, somehow ripping his scrotum and leaving one testicle hanging free. He also lost four teeth in the process. Incredibly, after discovering the injury to his scrotum, he calmly asked the physio to stitch up the tear and returned to the field before a blow to his head left him concussed. He was substituted and watched the remainder of the game from the grandstand where he witnessed the All Blacks lose 16–3. To this day Shelford has no memory of the game.

0 points to everyone who is posting actual sports related shit( except for Lootifer, he gets 0.5 points)

Anyway:
Roussimoff has been unofficially crowned "The Greatest Drunk on Earth"[66] for once consuming 119 12-US-fluid-ounce (350 ml) beers (over 11 gallons) in 6 hours.[67] On an episode of WWE's Legends of Wrestling, Mike Graham said AndrƩ once drank 156 16-US-fluid-ounce (470 ml) beers in one sitting, which was confirmed by Dusty Rhodes. Such feats can be attributed to his large size, which meant it took higher amounts of alcohol to inebriate him. In her autobiography, The Fabulous Moolah Lillian Ellison writes that AndrƩ drank 127 beers in a Reading, Pennsylvania hotel bar and later passed out in the lobby. The staff could not move him and had to leave him there until he awakened.[68]

Thank you to whomever pointed out that these "impressive feats" in real sports, aren't impressive. Especially in baseball, where over 100 years of play and averaging (not actually true, just a guestimate) 80 games a season, things average out and there are often anomalies like a 4 hr game.

Thank you to Haggis, who truly understood the concept of this thread. Wrestling, while not a "real" sport, requires the athletes to be able to still do impressive things. Drinking 156 16 US fl-oz beers is impressive as f*ck.

He drank those beers and then passed out.

There is an Italian soccer player called Balotelli who was arrested strolling around the grounds of a women's prison with his brother and when the police grabbed him he told them he'd just 'fancied having a look'.

Balotelli is the man. He once managed to put on a bib, that was impressive.

While definitive proof is lacking... the ambition alone shows great dedication:

Wilt Chamberlain wrote:Yes, that's correct, twenty thousand different ladies.... At my age, that equals out to having sex with 1.2 women a day, every day since I was fifteen years old.... I'm not boasting, I don't see all this lovemaking as any kind of conquest; all I'm saying is that I like women, people are curious about my sex life, and to most people the number of women who have come and gone through my bedrooms (and various hotel rooms around the country) would boggle the mind.

He is also alleged to have once consumed 52 cans of beer on a flight from Sydney to London in 1989, in a story that is considered by some to be part of Australian sporting legend. This has never been confirmed by Boon however though Geoff Lawson did confirm it

Isn't the flight from Sydney to London an entire day? That's barely more than 2 cans an hour.

What a light weight.

This dude.

Ok ok, hes not a super freak beer drinker, but i feel winning pikes peak 12 times makes you pretty fucking tough.

Matthew Edwin Carpenter (born Asheville, North Carolina, July 20, 1964)[1][2] is an American trail runner. He has won the Pikes Peak Marathon on twelve occasions, the Vail Hill Climb eight times, the Imogene Pass Run six times, the Barr Trail Mountain Race, Everest SkyMarathon Tibet, and Aspen SkyMarathon five times each, and holds the course record for all of these events. He is also the record holder for running the fastest flat marathons run at altitude at both 14,000 and 17,000 feet. His success in the sport has been so extensive and dominant that he has been compared to Lance Armstrong,[3] and described as "one of the greatest mountain runners of all time".[4]
