Sports betting

Just bet a treble (£10).....23/08/2008 - Chelsea/Hearts/Celtic all to win.

Looking for some sure fire sports bets, as sure as you can get anyway. Had a tenner on Portugal to beat the faroes (shit payout), and lost £2 on Argentina v Belaruse (they DREW !!??!)

Just Chelsea to go now.

Payout about £35.00 + odds (i bet £12.31, my balance at partypoker).

Looking for my next bets after the Chelsea result. I also plan to keep putting £10.00 on dead certs (Like portugal v faroes), the money back will be shit, but i want to see how far i can take it.

Ok. Won £35.82 for that bet, so i've stuck the following on....

J Blake,D Ferrar,R Federar,R Nadal,A Murray - 5 bet accumulator for tomorrow's Tennis (£5.82).

Ken Docherty to win his snooker game tomorrow against G Green (£5)

Man United to beat Portsmouth (£5)....probably not your favourite bet Daz.

edit...Just added £10 on Bradford to beat Hull at rugby tomorrow.

edit 2....Bet £10 on "IK Frej" to beat "Rasunda IS Solna" in The Swedish football....a cheeky move, entirely based on the odds.

Let's see what happens tomorrow, this could be an intresting experiment.

throw some dosh at an england loss in the one-day series vs. the saffers - good odds right now for a likely outcome.
had i been wise, i would have seen that her simplicity cost her a fortune

Betting on sports is foolish, unless you have a copy of Gray's Sports Almanac, complete with dust cover. ;)

Well, Bradford won (the odds were in my favour), turning £10 into £11.50. So, i've cheekily stuck it srtaight back on a 4 bet with Federer/nadal/murray/Djokovic....It's the first round of the American open, and these guys usually end up in the last 8. I know i've already tied up some mioney in three of these guys, but playing the odds is the name of the game here.

To the guy who suggested io bet on England for the cricket......Are you mad ? When Australia play Scotland, then i'll bet some of my money on cricket :P

The story so far....

IK Frej lost me £10, but it was winnings anyway (i started with £12.31), but ManU,and Ken Docherty won giving me £17.40, and £ 18.32 in play.

The two tennis bets are on target, so i decided to place the following

5 team accumulator - Fenerbahçe/Marseille/Olympiakos/Arsenal/Liverpool to win on the champion's league games 27th August (£7.40).

I'll keep the £10 left, and just see what happens. Remember, i started with £12.31 from my poker site, so it was all dead money anyway. so far i have £10 + £25.72 in bets (i put £1 on Kramnik to will a chess game on Sept 1st ages ago).

This may or may not be a fun experiment.

Ok.

Not such a good day at the office today.

i whackerd the tenner i had left on three bets - D junhui/S Hendry for the snooker (double £2), and £4 on each to win....thus losing me £6. That's the last time i bet with my heart (Hendry is a fellow countryman, but i knew he plays shit these days).

On the plus side, one of my tennis bets in in. winning me £6.87 from a £5.82 bet. Like i said when i placed it....the odds were so low, it was hardly worth putting on, but i'm not really looking for a "get quick rich scheme", just want to see if the odds can net a long term profit.

So, to recap.

From £12.31 start, i've gone up to £35.82, but now i'm back down to £30.77 (i'm blaming hendry entirely)

I took the £6.87, and put on - Roddick to win (he's 1-10 on, so not a big payer....but that's the point free money for dead cert bets)....and £1.87 for West Ham to beat Macclesfield Town. I've realised that with the draw option in football, my football bets are not so strong, but they've came through so far.

£11.50 on -Federer/nadal/murray/Djokovic.

£7.40 on -Fenerbahçe/Marseille/Olympiakos/Arsenal/Liverpool to win on the champion's league games (dodgy bet, could be my undoing)

£1 on - Kramnik to win (chess)

£4 on - Ding Junhui (Snooker)

£1.87 on - West Ham (football)

£5 on - Andy Roddick (Tennis)

The story so far.

£11.50 on -Federer/nadal/murray/Djokovic. - came up Yeehaa.

£7.40 on -Fenerbahçe/Marseille/Olympiakos/Arsenal/Liverpool to win on the champion's league games (dodgy bet, could be my undoing)....Liverpool shafted me by going into extra time

£1 on - Kramnik to win (chess)pending

£4 on - Ding Junhui (Snooker)Good snooker player my arse

£1.87 on - West Ham (football) also shafted me by going into extra time

£5 on - Andy Roddick (Tennis) pending

...............................................

This all left me £18.92........While in a rush to get to work, i decided to put these on ( i can't even remember them all, so i have to copy/paste to get the names)

£2 on Ronnie O'sullivan's next snooker game

£2 on England to win the next One Day International at cricket ( i must be mad)

£2 on Sumerset to beat Worcstershire (cricket again  )

£3 on three boxers who i've never even heard of, but the odds were such that i gave it a bash. - Kentikian S, Molitor S, Zbik S.

£3 on Aston Villa to beat FH Hafnarfjordur ( i must check to see how they're doing....1-1 at half time, but i hope for another goal as the humped them 1-4 away)

£2.92 on Murray/Nadal/Federer

£2 on Nadal and federer (who say's i'm a blind patriot)

£1 on Man city to win tonight.....(wish i'd just plonked it all on this, because it's won already giving me £1.80)

£1.80 (yes the very same) on Willliams S, and Dementieva on the women's tennis.

Feel free to comment, my lack of sport knowledge can be a burden.
