Nothing says "Come to Hong Kong" quite like this (it's not all skyscrapers you know). I was on this beach last week, camping with my lad. On Day 2 one of my dogs was unable to walk and we had to carry all 70lbs of him, with camping gear too, for 5 miles over those bloody mountains in 100degF. Since that day I switched my wallpaper to this one - a permanent reminder of father & son bonding, courage in the face of adversity, and the undying love a man has for his best friend.

And bless my lad for not saying "Can't we just bury him in the sand?"

Wallbase.cc

They have all sorts of awesome hi-rez wallpapers. My resolution is 1600x900, so it's hard to find good images to use as wallpaper. Cool thing about wallbase, you can search by category and resolution, aspect ratio, etc. Some good finds there for sure.

A linear Blur (from Sumo Paint) made this ordinary baseball photo pop. Of course it helps that I'm in the 300's (and the highest seat in the 300's) so everyone looks like little tiny people on the field.

You can even see the baseball in mid flight. Sorry, I can't tell you what pitch that was. I've had this on my desktop for a couple of months now.

Good question. Don't know the answer off hand. I know with desktop backgrounds I don't want too much detail to get in the way of the icons. Sumo Paint Pro does have a fractal feature though, I might start using that ...
