Woodruff, you should come to live chat. Phatscotty was just making fun of you because of this.

He was making fun of me for his being a coward who can't even stand by his own statements? That seems like a decidedly odd thing to try to make fun of me for.

What do you know...the only Amendment to the Constitution that I have felt was largely unnecessary these days, and it become relevant:

https://www.courthousenews.com/2013/07/03/59061.htm

I suppose the argument in court will be that they're not military personnel?

Also, the officer that noted the following in his official report is clearly an imbecile who needs to at least consider what may or may not be legal. It's as if he believes he cannot take an illegal action if it is in the performance of his duties:

The complaint continues: "Defendant Officer David Cawthorn outlined the defendants' plan in his official report: 'It was determined to move to 367 Evening Side and attempt to contact Mitchell. If Mitchell answered the door he would be asked to leave. If he refused to leave he would be arrested for Obstructing a Police Officer. If Mitchell refused to answer the door, force entry would be made and Mitchell would be arrested.'"

Justice, indeed:

http://intellihub.com/2013/07/05/judge-finds-cop-not-guilty-of-assault-after-refusing-to-watch-video-of-assault/

Here is the video itself, and the source was the police vehicle. The ONLY PEOPLE who had ACCESS to it were the POLICE:

Indeed. This paragraph in particular caught my attention. That police would boldly wear shirts saying such things is embarrassing, frightening, and frankly gives some legitimacy to the view that there are more bad cops than good ones, even though I don't personally believe that to be the case:

Perhaps the best insight into the mentality the police brought to the DNC protests could be found on the T-shirts the Denver police union had printed up for the event. The shirts showed a menacing cop holding a baton. The caption: DNC 2008: WE GET UP EARLY, TO BEAT THE CROWDS. Police were spotted wearing similar shirts at the 2012 NATO summit in Chicago. At the 1996 DNC convention in Chicago, cops were seen wearing shirts that read: WE KICKED YOUR FATHER’S ASS IN 1968 . . . WAIT ’TIL YOU SEE WHAT WE DO TO YOU!

This is all old news though. They train cops to believe they are going to be facing dangerous stuff day in, day out and condone the whole zero-tolerance attitude. It makes for a bunch of jarhead, trigger happy, short man's disease-ridden militants. I swear in my town there isn't an officer over 5'5" tall and it's no coincidence; these guys are looking for opportunities to feel more "powerful". It's sick the direction law enforcement is heading: a haven for insecure people where they can artificially feel better about themselves.

Apparently, some police view a refusal to allow them free entry to your home as probable cause (and it's hard for me to see this as an exigent circumstance). Some of the statements made by this officer really disgust me:

It's a stupid question. Romney and Obama are not exactly the same. If you seriously think there are not 5 differences between a white multi-millionaire East coast Republican Mormon and a white-black socialist Chicago politics race-baiting Democrat, oops, there is 5 differences.

all you've managed to do is show everyone that you are unable to think of 5 differences on your own, now STFU, To go on and on and on like that while somehow holding that Mitt Romney and Barack Hussein Obama are exactly the same to the point where you think someone cannot name 5 differences is the dumbest thing ever.

What I think your problem is, and I have seen it time and time again stretching across all topics, is that you think what matters to you matters to everyone else, because you are a projector. Just because there is very little difference between Romney and Obama in your narrow mind on the things that matter to you, you think those are the only things that matter for everyone else. What you miss is there are a thousand other things where there are MAJOR differences, like lifetime appointments to the Supreme court. Or do you actually believe that Romney would appoint Kagan and Sotomayore?

btw, are there any Obama voters than you have been riding for a year, since Obama is the same as Romney and they didn't vote for Gary Johnson, or is it still all my fault that Gary Johnson isn't the president now?

It really isn't. That said, why didn't you just say that months ago, instead of your bullshit story about being able to provide TEN difference?

Phatscotty wrote:Romney and Obama are not exactly the same. If you seriously think there are not 5 differences between a white multi-millionaire East coast Republican Mormon and a white-black socialist Chicago politics race-baiting Democrat, oops, there is 5 differences.

Yeah, I didn't think you could provide five differences that impact their Presidency either.

Phatscotty wrote:all you've managed to do is show everyone that you are unable to think of 5 differences on your own

Huh? I never made the claim that there were five differences. You're the one going on about how different they are. I think they are sadly quite similar.

Phatscotty wrote:To go on and on and on like that while somehow holding that Mitt Romney and Barack Hussein Obama are exactly the same to the point where you think someone cannot name 5 differences is the dumbest thing ever.

So were you going to point out five relevant differences, or are you planning to just hang your hat on the stuff you listed above that doesn't impact their Presidency?

Phatscotty wrote:What I think your problem is, and I have seen it time and time again stretching across all topics, is that you think what matters to you matters to everyone else, because you are a projector.

No, what matters to me is calling out bullshit statements. It happens a lot with you, because you seem to put out a lot of bullshit statements.

Well let's see the list then. And for what it's worth, it isn't just ME that's interested...the original question was posed to you by thegreekdog. He's just not as interested in following up on your bullshit as I am.

Yes, in fact there are...for almost exactly as long as I've been riding you about not voting for Gary Johnson. That being said, even if there weren't, it wouldn't change your utter obfuscation and distraction.

So, let's take a look at how your trolling bites you in the ass and proves how crazy you are.

You sit and yell and whine and complain violently and with obsession that I did not vote for Gary Johnson and the Libertarian party...all while you have been yelling and whining and complaining violently and with obsession about how I am not a Libertarian and should stop claiming to be.

Frankly, it's a bit schizophrenic. You are nutz.

Where in this does "my trolling bite me in the ass and prove how crazy I am"? This is just a rant against me on your part, and it doesn't even counter the point I made. Was there a point to your rant here? Because it doesn't seem to do what you apparently think it does.

I notice you still haven't provided those relevant differences that you claim are so easy to distinguish...I suppose that's the real point of your rant, to further obfuscate and distract from your own statements.

there are two types of thinkers: those who focus on details and those who focus on the big picture.

that is why most of us will never be able to communicate effectively with the likes of woody and symmetry. they are so immersed in the details that they only care about little meaningless technical victories and completely disregard what actually matters.

Right...because making statements and not being willing to stand by them simply doesn't matter in john9blue's world. Apparently, he considers lying and obfuscation to be positive character traits and integrity as something that doesn't actually matter. But hey, at least you're honestly trying not to look at both sides of the situation, as usual!

Yeah, pretty much.

Watch as they take apart not your main point nor your overall position--but rather one small segment, which isn't crucial to the rest of the argument.

Glenn Beck is all over this one.

An Ohio woman is dealing with a bad case of mistaken identity after a local bank broke into her home and repossessed her belongings, TheBlaze reported Wednesday.

Seems First National Bank in Wellston, Ohio, meant to foreclose on the house across the street from Katie Barnett’s. A GPS unit led bank employees to the wrong door.

Barnett’s house was cleared out. Some of her possessions were hauled away, some were trashed, and some were sold.

Law enforcement officials won’t help (they say it’s a closed case), and the bank won’t help.

Glenn Beck on Thursday was so shocked that a small-town bank would give someone like Barnett the runaround that he could barely contain himself.

“As every day that goes by, First National Bank in Wellston,” he said, “just know you’re sending a very clear message to all those who do business with your bank: you’re not a local bank!”

“The reason to do business with a local bank is because I actually see the people I’m dealing with face to face. And if you’re all dirt bags on the local level, why should I do business with you? If you can’t admit that you made a mistake and make this woman’s life right, there’s no reason to do business with this local bank.”

Beck continued:

In fact, I’ll tell you what…on Tuesday, find the other local banks, because I don’t want to tear [First National Bank in Wellston] apart as much as I want to promote a local bank that does business the right way…maybe on Tuesday we start doing commercials for free for all of the local banks in that area.

That certainly may get the message across:
