There is a verse, I forget where it is located or the exact words, but it says some thing like this:
"For God has put into the heart of all men, the knowledge of God"
so that when we die we cannot say "Well I didn't know, no one told me you existed!"
And here.......you have been told. ((EDITOR'S NOTE: There, i fixed your spacing, spelling, and punctuation with neat, red text.))

No, i'm not Catholic. I'm Discordian-SubGenius with Druidic features. And it just strikes me as odd that someone who can be harmed by holy water won't be harmed by holy words.

Wow, you managed to miss the point and at the same time proclaim your victory. That's almost a trifecta of stupidity!
Since I am an ordained minister (weren't expecting that were ya?) I have slightly more authority on this subject than you. However, I will say this:
You can believe whatever you want. But don't claim that you have some kind of proof of God's existence when such a thing cannot be proven without destroying faith. If you've proven something, you don't need faith to believe. Without faith, God dies. And since you are such a fervent believer, you will never do anything to kill God.
In other words, YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!

is vtmarik! In which case he obviously is not an ordained minister.

Do you think i'd make that claim falsely? I am an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church (http://www.ulc.org)

vtmarik wrote:Oh right questions, i'm sorry. I was trying to ignore you but I see that I cannot.jay_a2j wrote:1. Who wrote the first 5 books of the Bible?
Are you talking about the inspiration or the actual human author? Because technically God was the author, but the guy who actually put pen to paper was Moses.2. Who wrote Revelation?
Well, technically it's the book of Revelations but that's just a typo.
The author is John according to the book itself. However, there is some dispute as to which John wrote it:
http://www.abu.nb.ca/Courses/NTIntro/Rev.htm3. When Jesus said, " Tear down this temple and I will raise it again in 3 days" what was he refering to?
Ok, so you're asking my opinion of this, right? Well, according to the Bible he was most likely referring to himself and his death and resurrection. However, at the same time, he may have been referring to the actual temple that he was standing in. We'll never know because that temple wasn't torn down and rebuilt in 3 days. So we must rely on the logical process of post hoc ergo propter hoc which means 'After, therefore, because of it." In this case, Jesus said "tear down this temple and I will raise it again in three days" and then he was crucified and resurrected, therefore that was what he was talking about.
The only way to know for certain what he meant would be to ask him directly.4. What did the Jews do in the Old Testament to receive forgiveness of sin?
Honestly, i'm not sure. I'm reading through the Old Testament and I can't get a clear answer. From what I can extrapolate they had to pray to God to forgive them directly.5. Why did Jesus bring and end to question #4?
Because he died on the Cross as a way of bringing atonement for the sins of the Jews and of Man in general.6. What must a man do to inherit eternal life?
Ugh, here comes the old answer that everyone knows. One must accept Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross and accept him into our hearts and live without sin as Jesus would live, and blah blah blah.
I got one question for you buddy
If we love Jesus so much, and accept Him, and et cetera; why do you wear crosses around your neck and around your church rather than just have a picture of Jesus. Isn't He the symbol and not the cross?

Why would I lie about something that can be researched and fact checked? That's like saying that I'm a multimillionare, rock star, actor.
Are you accusing me of bearing false witness? Need I remind you of casting stones and judging? Is your house made of glass?
