Ok, please, can someone educate me about the point of "random votes". As you said yourself, they don't lead to lynches (nor should they). What do they do?
People defend themselves and you learn useful facts.
ya it shows how they react and wat they say when they are under the spotlight

Look, I know that we have a very low chance of somebody messing up so bad on Day 1 that we can know he is scum (especialy in this game, since Narc handpicked the players). First day lynch is based mostly on gut feeling, unless somebody make a huge mistake. I agree with that. But, random voting doesn't help this problem. How is somebody going to react to a random vote? Well, as is evident from all the guys who were random voted so far, he will most probably ignore it. If he feels a need to defend himself he is: a) defending him/herself wich is a noch scummier then saying nothing and b) turning everyones attention to the fact he allready has one vote wich can lead to a bandwagon. An altruistic townie (or a Jester) might be willing to risk a bandwagon and then vote based on the bandwagonner who appears scummiest to him (or in Jesters case to get himself lynched). But a mafia will shut up and spam just so that he doesn't submarine.
For me, a random vote is a bad custom for a town. The only reason why anyone does it is: people don't want to stick their neck out by accusing someone "for real" so they hide behind random.org. Townie's objective isn't his personal survival (unless, of course, he is a Survivor

), but the victory of the town!
That being said, I
vote sheepofdumb. The reason why I am voting him is that he looked nevous in the beginning, then he was quiet, then defended against my vote. And then he went quiet again. Scummy? Not neceserely. Suspicius? Yes. Most suspicius so far? Definetly!
