It depends on the type of team you have. If you're the Bulls, you'd need Westbrook (who's pretty much the same player as Rose, except Rose is smarter and is a better pure point guard) because he's aggressive and takes his shots. He works better for the Thunder for that reason too, but he'd be shit on the Heat. Same with other teams like the Lakers or Spurs that already have guys that are aggresive shooters.

And oVo, you think Lebron flagrantly fouled Durant on the last play? Really?

I would say Westbrook is the best outside of the three clear frontrunners for best PG in NBA (Rose,Paul,Williams) mayyyybe Rondo above him slightly

It's difficult to compare them (Rondo and Westbrook) just because their playing styles are so different. Rondo is a pure passing/playmaking point guard while Westbrook is part of the new era of point guard that attacks the basket more often then the conventional one.

I'd take Rondo over Westbrook for the most part, I think, despite both having problems controlling themselves at times. I love Rondo as a player but some of the things he does are like "lolwut"

I'd take Rondo, too, but he's had time to work on being a great point guard. I think Westbrook was a 2-guard in college, so this is all fairly new to him and he needs time to clamp down on his instinct to get the ball and just let it fly.

Rondo on the Heat would be ridiculous. That ball distribution...ever night would be a 40-minute long highlight reel.

oh god...Phil Jackson absolutely ripped the Knicks. He pretty much said the Knicks suck too much for him to coach them and that Carmello is a ballhog.

Another great game. Thunder's inexperience was obvious...too many missed freethrows and just awful turnovers near the end of the game.

You can tell LeBron wants to win. He's driving at the basket like a madman, something he didn't do at all last year against the Mavs.

Also, f*ck, Sefolosha and Iblocka are so fucking good. Sefolosha as an on-ball defender (stealing the ball from Wade at the end of the game) and Iblocka just Iblocking everything.

Fun stuff. Tough 2 - 3 - 2 format for the Thunder. But it would be too weird if Durant and Westbrook and Harden had another subpar game on Tuesday.

The thunder aren't made up of scrubs unlike the Heat. They got players top to bottom.

IF the Thunder can't remember how to close out a game
and also sink a few free throws this series ends in Miami.

OKC using up too much of the shot clock is also a problem.

I think he is trying to say that the Thunder have a team and depth, while the Heat have 3 players and shitty depth. If Lebron didn't go back into Cleveland mode averaging 30 a game, then the Heat would be done for. Other than Battier making 3's like a boss, nobody else for the Heat hits double digits most of the time. The Thunder have good depth and the players outside their big 3 (Durant, Westbrook, Harden) are much better than Miami's non-big 3 players.

what are you talking about? The Thunder big 3 are matching the Heat big 3 in points. The reason why the Heat are up 3-1 at this point is because of Battier in the first two games and then Chalmers in this one. The biggest difference between the Heat last year and this year is getting Battier, Cole and Chalmers being smarter and more aggressive. That's an absolutely ludicrous comment.

Anyway, Westbrook couldn't go an entire game without making terrible plays and none were as bad as that foul at the end of the game after the jumpball. If he didn't foul, Chalmers probably would've had to chuck up a 3 and it more than likely would've been a miss which would've allowed OKC to tie it up.

An extremely close series but the Heat have been winning the games in the last two minutes. I don't want to get overly confident but it looks like we have this in the bag.

Also, LeBron had an entire quarter to get his 10th rebound and finish his triple double. Why the f*ck did he have to get cramps (what a pussy injury, too)?

I'd kind of like to see the series extended into the weekend. It also seems too strange to have the Thunder win 4 games straight against the Spurs and then proceed to lose 4 games straight against the Heat...but maybe it'll happen.

they're young enough that I think it could happen. To me, inexperience equates to non-predictability so I wouldn't put it past them.

Like how Harden is doing terribly.

Haha, it was quite fun to watch him hobble around and nail his threes. I was hoping he'd keep going.

Speaking of mf'ing, Game 4 I think it was when Chalmers went off for 25 points or whatever, they cameras were showing the hallway to the locker room for the heat, and they showed Wade trailing Chalmers in. Wade was yelling after Chalmers saying "You motherfucker. You motherfucker" with the biggest grin on his face. I laughed, especially since the ABC censors didn't get the mute on fast enough.

Pretty fun season, even if shortened.

Reminds me when Nyjer Morgan got his walk off hit last year in the NLDS and was screaming "f*ck" right into the mic when they tried to interview him.

I love that part of live television. I can't stand censorship, especially with something as tame as "f*ck".

Now we'll see if any of these rookies will amount to anything.
