Wyoming is in a very tough conference and you'll have to wait for them to play TCU, BYU and Utah to know if they are improving.

Oklahoma has been decimated with injuries to key players and it's a credit to reasonably talented young players that they remain competitive. Losing Sam Bradford at QB isn't even their biggest problem since they do have a good backup, but losing the supporting cast on both sides of the ball had diminished their chances of any title run substantially. Injuries have guaranteed that Oklahoma will not top the polls this season, but just might be a BCS spoiler. Miami is a lot like Georgia, lots of skilled players that have yet to gel as a team, giving them scary potential. I have no doubt they are good, but they aren't consistent enough to be great and they will have to improve a lot to have a title chance... and I really don't see that happening.

Though, to note, the games against Air Force and CSU are considered are biggest games. 1. They are our rivals and the games always get heated. 2. Especially against CSU, it is known as a Border War and always one of the biggest games of the season.

With already one loss and being in a conference that most are considering to be weak this year, I have to think that Miami's chances of a National Championship is very low.

With the Oregon Ducks emerging in the PAC 10 I think Boise State
has a better chance than Miami of getting there.

Funny how you can be #18 in the country, than get beat by #4 by one touchdown. and become unranked. Not surprising just funny how it can be that way sometimes.

Nebraska got this week's games off to a good start by putting up 27 fourth quarter points
to best unbeaten Missouri 27-12. I'm really looking forward to Saturday's games.

Bradford's playing. I expect he should be in pretty good shape and I think it's good for Oklahoma to get their QB some game time before their game against Texas. Tebow a game time decision. I think Florida probably will win either way and I don't think you put Tebow in unless you feel he's 100% as I don't think you can tell him to go in the game but ask that he not be as physical as I think that takes away the biggest thing that makes Tebow Tebow. Possible upsets this weekend.

Florida St. over GT-with all the talk about possibly losing his job I think Bowden's gonna come out focused to try and win this game.

LSU over Florida-Tebow questionable and Florida's walking into a hostile environment.

Arkansas over Auburn-This will be a real test to see if Auburn really is for real this season as they play an offense that should give them more of a challenge this week.

Wisconsin over Ohio st.- could happen

Boston College over VT-Boston College has given them fits in the past.

Kentucky over S. Carolina-should be a good game to watch regardless of who wins.

Ole Miss over Alabama-I expect Alabama to win this one but watch out for a talented Rebel team.

Colorado over Texas-Texas haswon the last five but that doesn't mean they can't get caught looking ahead to Oklahoma.

With so many schools fielding talented teams I can agree with all those potential upsets but one. Colorado just doesn't have it going this year, so that one's just not going to happen. Oklahoma's problems are much deeper than not having Sam Bradford available, they've just lost too many key players to injury for the year that it's pretty much over for them. It doesn't mean they won't be scrappy and make teams work to beat them, they just can't dominate play on both sides of the ball the way they expected and have to scheme around their deficiencies from here on out.

Whoa... it's UPSET SATURDAY in the SEC
Arkansas sails past Auburn 44-23
Tennessee dominates Georgia 45-19 Bulldogs offense only manages a 52 yd FG
Crompton of the Vols and the Razorback's Mallett both had great games.
South Carolina held off Kentucky 28-26, the Wildcats failed on a 2 pt conversion late in the 4th quarter.

#3 ALABAMA 16 and #20 MISSISSIPPI 0 at the Half
It's been all defense so far... Ole Miss has held Bama 3 times in the Red Zone,
but on a 4th & 1 with a minute to play in the half Ingram breaks a big one for
the only touchdown of the game and a big Crimson Tide lead.

It's true Snead got picked four times but only one was his mistake and led to no points, as his receivers gave the ball away THREE TIMES. Add a fumble to that mix and it's hard to Beat Bama. Both defenses in this game were exceptional and Mississippi couldn't even escape the shadow of their own end zone until the second half. It was a better game than the 22-3 score indicates... but the Alabama defense was the difference in this one.

Wisconsin holds the ball 42 minutes, with 22 first downs, 368 yards of offense
and loses to Ohio State 31-13.

Very good defensive battle especially for Bama who abused Ole Miss for most of the game. I wish Georgia could learn something from the Bama defense. Bama's biggest problem was being productive in the red zone. You have a first and goal on the 2 yard line. For a physical team with a good run game that should be more than enough to let you pound it into the end zone on 3 downs, instead they try to pass it (a badly designed pass too) and end up having to settle for a field goal. Bama looked very sharp against a highly talented, well-disciplined Ole Miss D but they have to do better in the red zone. My player of the game: Leigh Tiffin. ;) with special mention to the Bama Secondary.

I'd also like to say my top 5 currently looks like this:

1. Alabama-Playing as well as anyone right now with the best defense in teh country
2. Florida
3. Texas
4. VT-Despite being a one loss team, their only loss came to Alabama in what despite the score was a very well played game with good defense and they have looked impressive over everyone they have played since.
5. LSU-simply for still being an undefeated team in the SEC.

The receivers gave it away twice and Snead gave it away another 2 times.

I agree with your top 5 teams but not the order.
1. Florida- They're number one until someone can beat them in my opinion, no matter how good bama is playing
2. Alabama- Big wins and playing good
3. Texas- Colt Mccoy is looking good but they haven't been anyone
4. Va Tech- Close loss to Bama and very good wins . Offense looked good today against a boston College team that normally has one of the best defenses in the nation
5.LSU- Will have to prove themselves tonight.

I think theres a huge gap from those 5 to the next tier of undefeated or 1 loss teams. I feel USC can get back in their and Iowa if they can get some big wins in the Big 10.

Everyone seems to love VaTech (and I like them a lot too), but how do you correlate that with their barely beating Nebraska (and on a bit of a fluke at that), that being Nebraska's only loss, and considering Nebraska as "a huge gap behind"?

They dont have any big wins except for missouri today who they had to come from behind to beat. Also VA Tech seems to be hitting their stride right now

If Michigan could just get control over there turnovers (interception and fumble so far for Forcier), they could get control of this game. (Though they ARE down 20-14 right now)

I'd probably have to agree with these also, seems to be the prevailing opinion. But my wishful thinking would like to see Iowa on that list (I admit to it being wishful, ok?) or at least with Ohio State representing the big 10. Truth be told, we are just happy to be in the top 25 when it happens. :)

Well, Cowboys beat the Lobos. The Lobos, as it turns out, are a first half kind of team. As soon as the game hits the 3rd quarter, they become crap. 1st half, they were actually pretty decent.
