If the US had a normal drinking culture, then posting pictures with liquor would be about as exciting as posting pictures with your breakfast plate.
Instead you treat alcohol like it's heroin and thus eventually lead to binge drinking and a generally unhealthy attitude towards alcohol, i.e. viewing it as a means to get fucked up rather than something that can be enjoyed for it's own sake and in moderation.

I would state categorically that your assertion there has no fundamental support. There is no way for you to know ANY of those things.

As I said, that is an outstanding example of really crappy parenting.

We just disagree. I mostly posted that here because it made a poke at adults who like to sexually abuse children.

Curious though, can you tell anything from what you see in the picture? for example, you can tell she is crying right? maybe you notice it seems as if the parents had already warned this girl about abusing the social media like that? Can you tell she is underage? Can you tell she probably will not get kicked off a sports team in the future because her parents are teaching her a valuable lesson? can you tell she is being disciplined? Can you tell that nobody is physically forcing her to stand there and hold the picture? What is it you think makes this an example of shitty parenting?

Do you think the photo is an example of the parents trying to teach their daughter that very exact lesson you point out?

A parent should NEVER (for any reason at all) intentionally cause that level of public personal embarrassment to their children. That is not something that is done out of love. Yes, I understand the argument that embarrassment can cause a change in behavior, and I recognize that there are instances when this happens. And yet, the far more likely result of this in a child is bitterness, hatred, hiding of activities even more, and outright rebellion. It is not a successful parenting technique.

That is probably the intent, sure. Unfortunately, it is not an effective method for doing so.

It's impossible to say for sure.Based solely on the picture I'm leaning to think their stance is the ridiculous "DON'T TOUCH ALCOHOL TILL YOU'RE 21".

It doesn't change what you said either. Are you saying that agreeing with Michelle Bachmann is worse than being an unmitigated troll?

So far, that website has been very good, but depending on how that money is divided, some portion of it could go to medical services and social welfare programs, which are dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood. The problem is that it's difficult to track down foreign "aid," so there's some chance that a minority of the money went to the MB, but the "take over Egypt" and "gave them $1.5bn" claims are false.

‘‘If You Don’t Leave You Will All Die’’: Christians Flee Egyptian Town After Muslims Riot
When Sameeha Wehba emerged just before dawn, she found she was the only Christian left in this small Egyptian village just south of Cairo, the location of some of the country’s earliest pyramids.

Dahshour’s entire Christian community – as many as 100 families some estimate – fled to nearby towns in the violence earlier this week. The flock’s priest, cloaked in a white sheet to hide him, was taken out in a police van. At least 16 homes and properties of Christians were pillaged and some torched and a church damaged.
