I don't hate the Tea Party, I just want them to stop trying to kill everyone who disagrees with them.

It would also be nice if they stopped lying about the Constitution.

The Constitution of the United States was not written to limit government, in either a historical or theoretical sense. That’s not what it was primarily about. The Constitution was written to create government, and to create government power."


Maybe I am missing the point here, but doesn't the first few lines of the Constitution clearly tell us "what it was primarily about?"

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Yes. And there are various amendments and other articles that one should also read.

Note that lying about history is not part of that.
