boiled carrots as a snack??? what are you, like 80? if you have to soften up any vegetable prior to eating, you should steam them rather than boiling them - you'll keep more of the good stuff in them that way... ;). i tried saving up the boiling water from all my veggies for a while to use in soups, but quickly abandoned the practice because it became a huge pain in the ass pretty fast.

It sounded odd but not completely implausible. I tried them. They didn't suck but they were not an improvement in any way.

I bet my mom would have liked them. One of my best buds likes to destroy vegetables by boiling them too.

I prefer carrots boiled now.

 Fair enough. I'm no zucchini fan but my wife and our son like it. Most people boil those.

I would probably not boil carrots picked from a garden but store bought carrots are better cooked. Even better again cooked with chicken.

Most of these alleged allergies are just the system waking up and noticing things it hasn't noticed in a long time. Stop stunning your system with refined horseshit and you will discover a new world.

My horseshit is completely unrefined ah thank you very much. I literally go out back and just put my face under the horses butt, it doesn't get any fresher... yet cucumbers and celery I have an allergic reaction to. My sister and father have the same issue (with celery, I'm not sure how they take their horseshit... fresh or refined), it may have a genetic component.

I like a few things that have eggplant as an ingredient. Babaganough, we had it in Egypt and it was delicious, some varieties are better than others. I usually don't like the lebonese made stuff.

Breaded deep fried eggplant is pretty good too.

No, for real. She started to eat half a cucumber for supper each evening, as she'd read that they have no calories. After a couple of weeks we had to call out an emergency doctor because of the opening of the sphincters at both ends.

I think this is one of the more interesting, varied, and FUN threads I have read here in a long time. And little political vitriol is a good way to avoid that TOXIN.

Well? Cucumber diarrhea until you call for a doctor. That certainly sounds brutal.
