You really can't argue with me that they were big because they really weren't. They may have had some songs on the board but they were never big enough to be a household name.

the thing is, you can't really argue that they weren't "good enough" just b/c they weren't well-known. first of all, that's logically ludicrous. if you can't understand that, please stop talking.

second, if you don't think rush and the allmans were/are well-known, then you're probably under 20 years old, don't know shit about music, and should once again stop talking.

actually, i'd like you to answer n8's question about your fav bands so i can make fun of you some more.....

and kyle, the south birthed nearly every american musical style, and the majority of it's best literature, plus much more......tell me again what idaho has given us?

I live in idaho but my heart is in seattle/boston. Coincidentally, they are both similar to San Francisco which birthed the greatest movement of music.

It's impossible to pinpoint the best band ever because each band made music of a different taste. You may like Rush but I am only offering my opinion.

If they were really that good they would be recognized on a public scale. I know they were good and I like their music but you can't say they are the best.

As a matter of fact I do know QUITE a bit about music...probably MUCH more than you and I'm 23.

anyone that suggests the south isn't preeminent in the history of american music should be removed from the gene pool
