The last few days I've been unable to get up before getting at least 10 hours of sleep, so this will be quite interesting.
See, if I got that kind of sleep regularly, I could probably go the distance. As is, I could probably beat the hell out of you guys in a sleeping contest. My personal record is 18 hours, cut short by a roommate who was making eggs. My stomach got the best of me on that occasion. Plus, there was no incentive to continue, other than sheer laziness.
Not for lack of trying though, it's just that whenever I've tried to get up early my body has refused to do what my brain (and the alarm clock) has been telling it and gone right back to sleep until 1 in the afternoon or so, taking the brain with it.
I've had those days. Unfortunately, they tend to be on days when I need to get up. Physics exams. Work. Those kinds of things.
Well, those days are temporarily over for me now (until my summer job starts), the only day I actually managed to get up when I had planned to was when we were having a surprise birthday party for an acquaintance of mine. Otherwise I've overslept by at least 2 hours, usually 3 or 4.
