Of course isn't that what we were aiming for?

I'd be tempted to tell it in very simple language, almost like a folk tale - it has many of the elements of a "yes, I will marry you mortal, but if I take three blows from you I will return to the sea with all my magic cattle" -type tale.

But I don't like folk tales. On the other hand you did bring up a good point of why I have been hesitant to pursue writing a story based on it.

Yeah, I always meditate before a game or at least I have since soph. It helps me get focused and it doesn't make look like a nerd. However if I can't meditate (for whatever reason) I will listen to "Welcome To the Jungle" by Guns & Roses.

Ah, the polar opposite. Thanks to a local radio station I have started listening to the Fleet Foxes. If you like lots of vocal harmonies, these are the guys.

I'm pretty broad in my range of music appreciation but if I'm going into a game I need a song that will get me pumped. I'll check out this band but I doubt it will change my routine.

lo,, not saying it will do that. It's not a loud band, or one that will get you pumped. My post was 2 different trains of thought bunched into one paragraph.

You should try to make that clear when you post it like that. Though on the other hand it did remind me of something funny.

And I can tell you. That was the last time Lil Johnny ever tried to mess with a snapping turtle.

You could have also seen I wrote "vocal harmonies", and that doesn't add up to a gnr song, eh?

Which is why I didn't think it would be a good pump up song. Though while we are on topic, I have to say that while I think they are a good band, Guns & Roses has some of the worst voices. The voice works with their songs but I couldn't imagine hearing it with anything else without ripping my ears off.

Exactly. That is why it works.

And by the by, if you want a pump up song look up Detroit Rock City by KISS.

Please do not mention KISS in front of me. I hate that band with a passion. On the other hand, I guess the hatred would boil into rage and cause me to go all out but that would be unfocused energy.

Hrm, not good. Although i wouldn't consider them great, I like em.

Dirty White Boy by Foreigner?
The Stroke by Billy Squier?

I can't stand KISS either. Try "Already Gone" by Eagles to get pumped.

Hmm............................Maybe.

EDIT: This was meant for JND.

Though "Already Gone" by The Eagles. Not really a big pump up song in my opinion.

I can't stand the Eagles after reading their interview type thing in Rolling Stone.

The Eagles are cool man. One of these Nights, Already Gone, Hotel California (even if it is over-played), New Kid In Town, Life In the Fast Lane, Witchy Women, Take it Easy, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Tequila Sunrise, and so many more. How can you argue with that?

Suit yourself. I still think the solo for Hotel California is the greatest ever written, as if you couldn't guess from my current location.

On an unrelated note, and I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but the lumberjack in your sig is Thor from the cover of Age of Mythology.
