My theory, newcomers who eat the human/zombie flesh offered to them on a plate are welcomed, people who reject it are eaten. Might explain why Glenn n co wound up in the same place, they made the same decision to reject Terminus as well. I get that just from a feeling about the human size of the drum under the grill, and the people at Terminus seem oddly healthy; they look like they have and have had a steady supply of meat.

I'll bet Rick n crew take over Terminus. They are all stuck on how good it used to be in the prison, or at least they had some sense of security, and they can't totally get over it and that's what they are all searching for. And now the people at Terminus gave them a reason. Maybe Rick will even pull a Governor like move, now that he has come to terms with the inner struggle between humanity and brutality.

Oh yeah, there were a lot of context clues.

  1. Rick explaining to his son how you funnel animals into your snare, by only giving them one place to go
  2. The People in Terminus had a big - ass grill and fresh meat on it
  3. The people in Terminus herded Rick & Co to the boxcar
  4. The people in Terminus seemed reluctant to send Carl into the boxcar (presumably because he's a kid?)
  5. Crazy candles and people's names pained all over the floor and stuff
  6. Rick & Co ran by a boxcar with other people inside of it shouting for help
  7. Rick & Co ran by metal cages with piles of human bones in them. The bones were bloody, but cleaned of all flesh.

My conclusion is cannibals. TWD already had an episode on the inevitable illness, it seems to me that Cannibalism is also inevitable. When I saw the bones in the cage I knew for sure it was cannibalism.

I'm thinking Rick is probably not going to make it past episode two of the next season. He's pretty much developed through his entire character arc now, landing finally at the stage where he's come to terms with his violent "monster" side. I see Glenn or even Carl as taking over the "lead" after his passing.

Man, you are probably so far off the mark that I'd wager that by the end of the next season you are going to be one pissed off and/or shocked Walking Dead viewer.

We'll see soon enough I guess.

I was pretty satisfied with the season opener.

hopefully that continues. last season was kind of disappointing in my opinion. for one, i would have thought the mayor would have been a bigger part.they took such a long start building up the character of the mayor, but they killed him and then they killed off hershell like in the first couple days of the season??? they could have just done that at the end of the last season. wth? now the rest of the season seemed like just a bunch of filler. not a whole lot happened. they basically just walked down a railroad track and complained a bunch.

anyway. from the teasers this season looks like it should well make up for the last one. i'm anxious to see what they got up their sleeve.

The Mayor was a pretty good character, but my favorite was the Coroner. The Director of Parks was by far the worst, though.

First two episodes have been pretty good. I have to admit I was on the verge of taking this show off my watch list but it has gotten better the last two episodes. the cannibals are appropriately messed up.

It's been good so far but it the cannibals are the season-long enemy I'm going to be disappointed. They're good for like a 4-episode arc but if the whole season is Rick vs. Hipster Cannibal Leader I'm gonna blow my stack. I like the direction in which Carol is evolving, she's becoming a less annoying character. Rick's kid is also more likable now. (Judith is kinda turning out to be a beyotch, though.) Glenn's mistress is a disposable character and so is Sergeant Slaughter's Latina sidekick. The group is too big to keep track of everyone so it would be nice if they thinned the herd a bit starting with those two.

Actually, I kind of get the feeling that Maggie is going to die at some point this season. I don't think they are going to kill off the police officer quite yet. She's kind of interesting (which is a surprise since the show tends to be pretty bad with female characters. I mean she's not even close to perfect but she's not entirely intolerable like some of them have been and she shows signs of improving.) and as I remember part of the incentive of introducing her when they did was because the show had received complaints about the lack of diversity in the show (one black guy, one Asian, no gays and no latinos/latinas). They had already diversified the black population adding Sasha and Michonne, so they kept going.

Oh and Bob's romance with Sasha was obvious set up for him being eaten.

As far as Carl, when did he become the voice of mercy within the group?

i don't see maggie dying. her and beth are the only folks left from the farm.

personally i'd like to see carl get bit. that way rick can finally make some decisions on his own.

i think darell will final get it on with carrol (yuck)

i agree that they need to do more this season then kill the hippie and get beth back. need to really start getting away from georgia already. meet up with another group of similiar moral standing would be great. then you have a lot of potential surprise deaths for later on. they start killing off anybody now, and the fan base will shrink.(except for carl)

Assuming that Beth is still alive. The timing of the car drawing off Daryl and Carol just a little before the cannibals made their move struck me as a bit of a strong coincidence.

noted,

but i think it's a different group. i see either the main group getting in bad shape, with darrell, carroll, and beth coming to the rescue after a delayed abscence.

or the other way around. the previous makes more sense.

they showed a preview after the first episode that sheds a little light on beth's predicament.

Maybe I admit I havent paid too much attention to the previews the last two weeks. I did catch that that Rick's friend is tracking them though.

i'm really liking the new season, but, i have to say i don't like all the filler they put in there. it's very aggravating to have to sit through such a long and taxing detail which the point in reality could have been made in like 2 minutes of screen time.

but still, i'm really digging this season so far. can't wait to see who daryl has hiding in the woods.

When Beth was in the doctor's office and said "I still sing" I almost shat myself. I thought the rest of the episode was gonna be another Beth acapello act. Other than that this was the worst episode since the one where the whole hour was Beth and Daryl having a chat in the cabin.

exactly. i don't understand the whole jumping around without finishing a story bit. i know they want to keep viewers interested, but this is just idiotic. they go 4 or so episodes blabbering on with some priest they should have killed from the get-go with little to no excitement, then finally kill the terminal guy (after uselessly going on for 3 episodes about him ) with no real satisfaction to the whole escalation up to the moment. that could have all been handled in a a half an episode or less.

now we have to sit there for another week wondering who the f is in the woods with daryl. (i'm sure it's the black skinny guy from the hospital that escaped) what would have been wrong with doing away with about five minutes of idiotic dialoque between beth and the doctor to give us a little peak into what is going on back at the church?

let me guess. after watching the sneak peak for next week they're going to jump way up with the dc bound group huh. leaving the church and the hospital off in the distance with no real indication to what's happening at the two places.

i'm real close to quit watching and waiting for it to come out on netflix so i can cram it all in on a rainy day and quit bothering myself with all these questions.

I bet Carol is dead and it's Beth who is with Darryl

Highlight so far, that suave cannibal eating the meat of that dudes leg in front of him. I think they wanted to eat the Judith baby-back ribs the most....
