You know, I've wondered about that. Is the correlation directly attributed to the death penalty, or is it because states/countries that don't invoke capital punishment also tend to have other similar laws leaning with the same worldview that complement each other, diluting the actual effect of the law?

/, nawh. Capitol punishment can easily branch into another form of government killing. As long as it didn't go on pages, you're fine!

Troubling, one would almost have to assume that capital punishment is not effective. Or at least, not effective in the ways its supporters want it to be.
