There is a segment where the reporters ask people at the DNC about tolerance and show how the people at the DNC aren't actually tolerant. I believe the words "racists" and "rednecks" are used frequently.
Yeh but apparently (according to PS et al) there are people at these conventions who also sport "once you go black youll never go back; vote obama" badges NOT as a joke (like actually think a cock joke is a valid rationale to support a presidential candidacy). So... well you know... end of the intelligence probability distribution and all that. Now, that's only a small group of people and certainly the more intelligent Democrats would acknowledge that Republicans aren't racist just because they disagree with President Obama, but this video is absolutely not a response to a made-up issue.
No its not a made up issue; but on the flipside neither is a higher density of racist individuals on the republican side either*. To me aiming to create one unfair genrealisation in response to another unfair genralisation is like my mum always used to say about two wrongs and something about whites, wait i mean a right**.
* no I dont have any evidence to support this claim, id look for some but then realised its actually pointless since any evidence I do find from a simple google search is likely to be sourced from main stream US media and therefore will be about as neutral and informative as TPDS posts (sorry dave but it IS a good analogy). Therefore I am going to rationalise my point with a logical fallacy stating the same group of people who once upon a time were opposed to interracial marriage are likely to contain more racist individuals than the other side of the proverbial fence.
** poor attempt at humor, apologies.
Regarding your semi-parantheticals - Just as we're sure there are racists in the Republican party, I think we can also be sure there are racists in the Democrat party. I have no idea whether one party has a "higher density" than the other because I doubt there are polls that ask "are you a racist."
But, let's examine some more why you think there are more racists in the Republican party. Why do you think that if you don't have any evidence?
