if you looked it up, you might know that there is a correlation between end times prophesy, the year 2012 and this comment:

in 4 years, it will be 2012. if Russia and China are all bent out of shape because of our missile defense system and decide to nuke Poland, triggering WWIII in the process, well, 4 years from now would put things right in line with 2012.

I don't understand why the US continues to aggravate Russia. Russia is clearly agaist the missile defense system so close to them, and the US jsut generally moving into it's borders, and is alienating itself from the US. The us contines to bs how they would want Russia ot be its ally. The whole pro-georgian outcry that happened and completely ignored the facts, disgusted me

my understanding of it is that the missile defense system is in place to defend against Iran. it is unfortunate that Iran and Russia seem to be friends, because that means that the US and Russia have to find some common ground before any kind of true alliance can be established. this is not very likely since they simply seem to only be a democracy on the surface. in reality, the same people are in charge, just under the guise of democracy.

they don't want western missile defense because:
a. their allies (our enemies) are at risk of detriment because of it
b. they believe that we can very easily toss them into the "Axis of evil"
c. it puts serious weapons capability into the hands of countries that they would otherwise bully
d. those very nations from point c would enter into an alliance with the us that requires the US to act should any aggression be acted upon by anyone (Russia) because of the installation of a western missile system.

Russian generals have already said that they could nuke Poland if they continued with a western missile defense system agreement and i believe that they would do the same to the Ukraine should they consider the same route.

at least, this is how I understand the situation.

From what I've seen on it, they make a lot of stretches when adding stuff up. Like the Chinese answer book, some guy took it and put hit own set of numbers on it and graphed it....and he placed it so it ends on 'doomsday.' That is rediculous, I can take a short book, keep trying out my own numbers for it and keep graphing it and moving it around until it lands then too. This is the stupidest part of the arugment to me.

Also, while the Mayans were amazing, and way before their time with astronomy, predicting eclipses, etc., I don't believe just because they stopped adding dates to their calendar that the world is going to end. That was thousands of years ago and I just can't find myself getting worried because of it.

With the polar shift thing, I've read and heard that a majority of scientists think it will take a long, long time to happen, if it happens like the doomsday people say it will.

How did the Mayans know about our solar system? (They didn't have telescopes) Yet they knew about Pluto and planet X. NASA discovered Planet X in 1983 and have been silent on it since retracting there article they posted in the newspaper about it. (NASA is under a Congressional GAG order)


This won't end the world in 2012....... but it will certainly change it drastically.

they were pretty amazing with astronomy. i suppose that my thinking was that they tracked the movements of planets and such and predicted a planetary collision or something that would have rendered the earth unlivable. they were, after all, descendants of a race of interstellar nomads.

Mother Earth as a living entity will transcend to another level or frequency or consciousness and a new and special era will begin

Maybe you just have to believe in "Mother Earth's frequency and consciousness" to buy into this, I certainly don't.

And all of their predictions that go along with it are totally non-concrete:

The world is not going to end. The link I posted was to show (through the prophecies of St. Maliaki (sp) ) that the current Pope, Benidict XVI, is the 111th Pope out of 112 total Popes before "the end".

Ok, I glossed throught the thread, no one posted this? Russia is to cut all ties with NATO....
I'll see if I can find that article I read a week ago where Russians confiscated US Army property(Humvees and such). Were this 150 years ago, that woulda been a declaration of war.
