Some guy posted shit that upset others. The others complained. The first guy didn't mean to upset people but then defended it. Everyone else including me jumped in half assed, mostly to troll (not me of course), lots of opinions were had, people insulted clapper, no one will admit it's ridiculous and let it die, that's about where we are now.

Sorry to answer your question with a question but, how could I possibly know what will upset one person but not another.

My intent was to provide a pic for the H+S+nsfw that I found hot (Yes I would hit that.) and thought that others might too.

It was actually a.sub that gave me the idea when he asked for pics of hot musicians a few weeks ago.
When I was browseing through my pics last week I saw Kali and thought "Hot goddess...anyone?" (Yes I would still hit that)

I don't have any malicious intent, but I wouldn't let the fact that people are against the 2nd amendment stop me from
posting a pic of a hot woman holding a gun. (Someone else has already done that.)

Which is really what this is all about, it's why I made my post stirring the pot in the first place. There was no bigotry involved.

That's good on you. My issue is long since past. I'm just stating this for the record, as is snorri, that this whole argument has really become twisted into something that wasn't the original intent of the discussion in the first place, by those of us who had a problem with the way things were handled.

Very true, but then again there are proper and improper ways to critisize somebody. Especially for as much work as clapper has dedicated to the site. She seems to be getting jumped on a lot recently and people need to just chill out some. I'm not saying to "let everything slide", but we won't always get things right..sorry, but we won't. It doesn't mean you have to go crazy and create pages of posts and see how far you can push the lines; and this whole "holier than thou" mentality a lot of members have is getting EXTREMELY frustrating. Until you're in a position where your head is on the chopping block and every single little thing you do is watched you'll never understand why clapper did what she did. It was really a lose/lose situation from what I can tell. Imagine if we (as moderators) created threads pointing out every single error a member of the community made...yeah, that would be REALLY beneficial, wouldn't it?
