But about the caps game yesterday, Alex Ovechkin, Nick Backstrom, and Mike Green scored goals. It was like 3 years ago, but they also played (some) defense.

And as much as I hate Jeff Shultz.... holy shit with like 13 blocks? About time he figure his shit out too. He's like the perfect american defenseman (aka John Carlson) but doesn't know how to play or skate most of the time.

I don't want you rooting for the caps you sidney crosby bitch mustache loving bitch

they made a beer in philadelphia in honour of crosby !

I don't get why Flyers fans are laughing at the Pens...they have 0 right to. Last I checked, we've won 3 Stanley Cups wince the last time they won one. Yea we had an early exit this year in the playoffs, but it means nothing unless they win a Cup themselves.

Same reason Leaf fans laugh at Sens fans, even though the Leafs haven't won or been to the cup final since '67.

oh well, another disappointing ending to a Flyer season
didn't think NJ was any good at all.

Go 76ers I guess, not that i like basketball at all.
too bad they'll get swept by the Heat in the ECF

Damn. Yeah. I can't see many games while on the West coast, working from 12-8, and not having the NBC sports network at home either.

Wow. Worst penalty ever in the Caps/Rangers game. Scored with 7 seconds left and then in OT.

Now I know what it's like to love someone then have them take your heart and smash it into a million tiny pieces, piss on them, then set them on fire.

Yes. Not a Caps fan, but that was a tough way to lose it. Ward deserved the penalty, but I do feel terrible for him.

meh...2 for 4.

Kings over Yotes in 7, Devils over Rangers in 6.

f*ck, I'm so sick of hearing about the Rangers already. New York teams are always the most overrated and only the Yankees really have an excuse for it. Rangers and Knicks have what...5 championships between them and they're both original teams in their leagues?

reddit.com/7f12u

basically how I feel tonight.

Gave up a stupid goal in the first 2 minutes (again, I didn't have access to the game while at work, but any goal in the first 2 minutes is soft and stupid). And then gave up a goal in the 3rd, when we should have been in crazy ultimate attack mode (copyright from japan)....

f*ck the people who way "oh but they did so much better than they were supposed to".

We were supposed to be first in the east again and stanley cup contenders.

Haven't gotten out of the second round since the ovechkin era. And people who say this year's run was commendable don't realize we did the same thing 3 years ago and lost to pitt in the 7th game at home.

I want more. The fans deserve more (no championships in DC since 1991), even though most are bandwagoners

I never liked the Caps but I know how their fans are feeling.

The Flyers tease and disappoint every season.

I've now accepted that the Flyers will never win the cup

It's all New Jersey and the Kings, now. :P Devils have got a good shot, I think... I'll be rooting them on. :D

I definitely agree - even though Brodeur had a rough time of it, last season, he seems to be rebounding. Best goalie in the league, right now! :D But the Devils forecheck is astonishing. They will have to keep it up if they plan on beating the Rangers.

there is no way Broduer is better than Lundquist or Quick

Brodeur looked good because the Devils defense completely shut down the Flyers. The Flyers lack of any quality dmen other than Coburn killed them - no dmen, no transition game into offense.

Broduer is nothing special in anyway at this point in his career

yea, there's no way Bordeur is the best in the league. Definitely the most experienced and still pretty skilled, but there are a bunch of younger goalies I'd take over him.

Whaaat? Brodeur is far superior than Lundqvist or Quick! did you observe Quick's sad performance, this evening? Brodeur would never have let in that goal from the red line. In fact, he wouldn't be on the ground... he'd casually just stick out a pad and deflect it away. Consider that he's made 289 saves and let in a mere 25 goals. He has the third most minutes on the ice (Holtby has over 900 minutes through the playoffs). Quick let in 14 goals and faced 260 shots. Both Florida and Philadelphia pressured him far more than Washington and Ottawa pressured the Rangers' goaltender. Yet Lundqvist really struggled against Ottawa.

Coburn? What about Briere, Giroux and Voracek? Giroux and Briere have each scored more goals than any other players in the series.

Army, right now, Brodeur is the best, and he's going to prove it when they take the Cup. :P Next year, he may not be, for many of the young chaps will have had great expieriences and training.

Say what you want about Quick, LA is 9-1 in this Stanley Cup run,
bumping off the President Cup winner and #2 in the West.
So I think he and the Kings are doing ok so far.

fucking cocksmuggler

I hate NBC. It's the god damn conference finals and you're still showing the games on some obscure channel that I don't get at school instead of on NBC which is showing the fourteen billionth installment of America's Got a Giant Cock in Their Ass.

f*ck I wish ESPN had rights to hockey
