And it was made in NZ :D

Most people suggest its what Diablo III should have been (albeit with slightly worse graphics since its not a AAA game).

I bought outlast but realised to am too much of a pussy to play it, have since downloaded Just Cause 2 but am yet to play it.

The hardcore mode is also nice to see, where if you die in it you go to a standard league (where you can die multiple times.) I don't recommend starting in it, but overall am quite happy, already plugged over 40 hrs in less than a week. Some of the areas are more difficult than others, but that depends on the class and build that you are. (Those dang necromancers.) I solo through areas quite a bit, but have a lvl 41 shadow/ and lvl 12/13 ranger right now.

Those are probably my two favourite games, and I have spent far too many hours playing them though GTA V is also a worthy contender.

I've stopped playing Red Dead Redemption for now...I got my wife back and I've had a few outings with my son...I actually thought it would be over when I was reunited with my wife...I'll probably get into again at some point...

I played The Witcher 2 since then and Skyrim interrupted Return to Castle Wolfenstein (yup, an oldie)....I'm probably going to load Wolfenstein and finish it at some point when I take a break from Skyrim...

I like Red Dead Redemption...any idea how far I am from completing the main quest once I'm reunited with my wife?

I've been meaning to get back into Skyrim, now that I've got a laptop with much more graphic oompf. I'd also like the to pick up the DLC, but I'll likely wait for them to go on a bundled sale.

Also, I received Sim City for X-mas, and have been playing it for about week. You may recall when it was released, there was hoopla about no offline mode. Maxis announced then in their next game update / patch, they are putting in an Offline Single Player mode.

Not long. I don't want to put a time on it, but you're probably 95% through.

I've been playing Baldur's Gate. Went with Lawful Evil Wizard this time. Going to try to play it through, import my character into Baldur's Gate II and go from there.

I peeked at a Red Dead Redemption walkthrough after making that post and it looks like I am really, really close to the ending...didn't read anything other than the quest titles...

I have purchased Baldur's Gate, but never played it. It is the "Enhanced Edition" which didn't impress the writer of the one review I read, but I still expect it will be pretty good.

So many games, so little time.....

I don't have the enhanced edition; seems like it was a game that didn't need enhancement.

The release of Act 1 will come later this month (with Act 2 as a free addon some months later). As a backer, I've just received my early copy---but I won't play this until the weekend likely. But I will go back and rewatch the awesome doc episodes they've had so far. It only seems like this was all yesterday---but it was kickstarted back in March 2012!

It was just an update, bug fix and revision for new OS's (and I suppose more importantly a new package to sell for a few bucks extra), I think (I think I got it also).

Still a great game.

That is what read about the "Enhanced" Edition...but I seem to remember a review that I read said a cut scene or something near the beginning was shortened or something...the reviewer seemed to think it was a bad decision...but I really forget the details...probably because I've never ever seen the game to really have a clue what he was bitching about. :?

I haven't played it yet, but it is on my Steam Wishlist. I'll try to pick it up on a steam sale -- I've read good things about it. I also heard there is a new DLC coming out for it as well.

What do you make of the game? Tell me a little about it.

Okay! sorry for the delay.

Best analogy I read somewhere is - a Tim Burton's version of Harvest Moon.
1. Goal is survival
2. 3 things you gotta worry about..... Food, Health, and Sanity.

Many things in the world will kill you quickly. Things come out of the ground, even things that are normally safe are quite dangerous, Such as even some trees!
The night is terrifying, Things come out at night that can kill you. And the lower your sanity, the more dangerous the whole world gets!

Now the WHOLE POINT, of the game, is to learn as you play. Try to refrain from googling, try NOT to look things up as you get stuck. When you start the game, you get a 10 second cinematic and then you are 100% off in free roam in this world you no NOTHING about.

You can press pause and look up the controls, but that is it. There is literally nothing in the game to help you learn what things do or even how to use the controller properly. They don't even give you a goal. However, within the first 15 minutes, you will realize you need to survive somehow. Trial and error is the whole fun of the game.

---
So it has been a week since my original post. So far I convinced 2 other friends to play the game and we pretty much played it for 4 hour sessions daily. Skipped the Gym, skipped meals, friend put his pregnant wife on hold

My review now is that it is a pretty fun game, but I wish it was more difficult. We pretty much just figured out how you "kinda sorta win the game". And we figured out we could do this faaaiiirrlllyy easily. I am the type of person that finds replayability in games, but once my friend can say he "beat" a game he is done. So things are a little bit in limbo right now.

So $15 bucks, for about a week of nonstop play, thats not bad at all! (PS4 users got it free, but Steam i think is $15). I think it was worth it. That is without any DLC. There is a big wishlist I have for the game, but it was clear they aimed for a cheap budget.
