Beer, Wine, and Liquor must be sold in a Liquor store that is considered a separate building. (that means you can't buy beer at a gas station convenience store or a grocery store!)

I saw this really funny video of a guy who rigged his... get this... lazyboy chair into a fully-motorized motor vehicle. He drove it down the highway, it even had a steering wheel in the middle! He got pulled over for driving an unliscensed vehicle or something...

It is a felony to brew beer in Alabama other than at a licensed brewery.

Prior to about two years ago, it was illegal in Alabama to sell beer with an alcohol by volume higher than 6% (the limit is now 14.9%).
