I grant that the UK has been a beacon of progress on a variety of social issues, such as introducing a minimum wage in 1999, or allowing women the right to vote five years after Mussolini did - in 1930 - or ending whites-only hereditary appointment to the legislature in 1997, but don't you think there's still more to do? Or are things so good it's all pretty much on auto-pilot now?
