Have you never been to grade school, Jr. high school, or high school? Bullying is essentially the norm. Even more-so 40-50 years ago when compared to today. That doesn't make bullying right, but it's not like it's a rare situation. The only difference here is that Romney was the alleged bully while most of our public figures claim that they were the ones who were bullied in school.

That only shows abuse is widespread..

Performing sex acts on children is in no way similar to bullying.[/quote]

They are way more similiar than you realise, sex abuse is extreme bullying in essence. It's more about domination and power than sexual gratification,as is rape.

Including hiding a school-made haircut? And how many people are really harmed for life by school-aged bullies? Not many. Stuff happens in society, and you have to learn how to deal with what happened. It's part of growing up and learning about how to deal with the people around you. People learn to grow up and move on. Some apparently still need to.

You cannot relate to anything outside your little bubble,it's truly staggering..

I myself don't think that is the kind of attitude I want in someone who is a president, ruler of the nation.

yeah, a woman who is raped is obviously guilty, because all she had to do was call out for help.....

That he was the bully very much DOES make a big difference. That you fail to understand is not surprising. You have often acted as a bully here.. you don't acknowledge true disagreement, you dismiss it as irrelevant. You rarely truly debate me, you mostly just toss out what you consider to be slurs.. and then go on as if you are "just obviously" better than I. That is not discussion, and it is pretty close to what bullies do, albiet you act with words and I am more adept than most at fending them off.

Actually, it is very much the same. Sexual abuse is wrong precisely because it is among the most harsh type of bullying. It is not different at all. It is about abusing power, subverting those deemed inferior or weaker. That the exploitation is sexual in nature does not remove the fact it is also about power and abuse.

Since when were we talking about women being raped? Where the hell did that come from (probably the same place the Sandusky comparison came from)? I never said the person getting bullied was guilty. I said that bullying happens in school, but it shouldn't (and rarely does) have a life-long impact on a person. And actually player, you debate very few people on here. You post your dissertations that go off an any tangent you want to go on (especially if you can tie it to a bigger governmental program) and expect everyone to actually read and care about what you're saying. Most people just skim through and chalk it up to another of your rants that don't actually discuss the issues going on (muchless the person you're replying to). Schoolyard bullying is nothing like rape, yet apparently you think they are equal. That is absurd. (And another completely unrelated tangent.)

Really? I was frequently bullied by a group of guys a year older than me in high school. Yet that has absolutely no impact on my life today. In fact, it literally just now popped into my mind; I had not thought about it for years.

People tend to recite the events that happened to them in the past. People tend to think about how those events apply to their life currently. I have successfully done both. Yet because I disagree with your positions, I'm incapable of thinking.

And chang, I'm sorry that you can't debate a conservative. I hope you can at least read and learn more about conservatism because it will really help you in life.

No. I disagree with greekdog (to name one example of someone here) on many issues, but I don't say he is incapable of thinking. (I have said he is misinformed on some issues, but that mostly comes down to his not having time to pursue every debatable idea. I do the same at times).
I say you are incapable of thinking because no matter how many times you are told some facts, you refuse to even bother to google to find out if I or others disputing what you say might be correct.

You keep spouting nonsense on evolution, on health care, on many, many issues. Bullying is just the latest. THAT is why I say you are an idiot... but then, I have explained that to you before as well. That you keep claiming this is just "prejudice: is yet another example of your failure to even bother to think about what folks are actually saying.

Both chang and I have debated and do debate conservatives. I am actually not sure you really qualify for that term, though. Most of what I debate with you is well beyond conservativism. Its simple truth versus fiction.
