Let's say you have two monarch butterflies. They have different spots. Are they the same race? Yes, because they're both monarch butterflies.
There are a lot more things different. And ofcourse we're part of the same species. That's not what race means. Race is actually not considered a good term for anything except cats and dogs, but that doesn't mean you can honestly say we're the same race as like asians or something.
It's fine, it doesn't matter.
PHENOTYPE IS WHAT RACE IS ABOUT. A species needs to be able to have viable offspring to be the same species. A german sheperd and a poodle can have viable offspring, hell even a Danish Dog and a chihuahua can. (Well, it would be difficult without insemination...)
