well first because they were very damn annoying..
second, because the game was more fun with all the vets still in it.
third, it bought me a couple of turns where people were concluding noob mafia and stuff.
fourth and more importantly, they were rogue.. all over the place. I could have been voted out just because a couple of noobs decide to be morons. Keeping you guys meant that if I did not make a mistake, I could drive the strategy - you were more likely to get the hints, think rationally, etc..

Yeah. I don't think you could have played it (and me, argh) any better. (you know what this is going to lead to, right? super elite mafia games!)
well played, sir.

Wasn't he the one on my list? Told you. I told you all. congrats on losing.

I would concur, but I fear that I'd flatter myself by saying that I should be included. Houssam just got done making me look awful stupid. (and senfive provided me a nice outlet for expressing some of the anger I feel at having been so thoroughly played... I feel a little bad about that, buthearing 'I told you so' from someone that didn't really help all that much makes me feel like stabbing forty people at random)
Fircoal, tho, I have a question: houssam roleclaimed you as mason twice, on day 3 and day 4, but you never really said much of anything about it, and just in the last day or two you expressed only lukewarm belief that he was town. Was there ever a point that you suspected him?

Fircoal wrote:Well, I think you should be included if we have an elite game.
I didn't suspect him at first then, I thought maybe, but then he had no suspicions of me, I thought the same. But at the very last lynch, a bit before it I started to think that you and Houssam tricked me into easy lynches.

Why thank you.![]()

I was actually worried that you might have been a mafia mason. I actually wrote a whole post asking houssam to investigate you, but never hit the submit button.
Maybe we should have realized when he claimed daycop that something was fishy... I dunno. It's easy to monday-morning-quarterback these games, but in the thick of it, it's sometimes hard to see things. Hell, I even had an advantage, being a late-game replacement.
If nothing else, I feel like I learned something. That's the important thing, right? Right? RIGHT?

The sad thing is that as mad as I am at houssam and myself, I feeling WAY more jealousy than anger. I mean, jesus, that mafia janitor thing I had in auto's game was cool. But houssam must have felt weirdly godlike. He knew everything, we knew nothing.
If nothing else, there's no way a setup like this would've worked in an actual face-to-face game, if for no other reason than it seems like he would've had a hard time keeping a straight face as we blundered about in the darkness.

could you please point me to the page where you predicted that houssam was not only the sole mafia but also a fake mason?
No?
Did you even realize that he roleclaimed mason on day 3 and daycop on day 6?
No?
Well, then.
Besides, what do you care? You very publicly gave up and left the rest of us up sh*t creek.
If you have anything constructive to add, then by all means. But if you're just going to stay with...Senfive wrote:I told you so, I threw a bunch of darts at the list of players in this game and houssam was one of them and ha ha ha you bastards lost and I'm such a goddamn stroke that I could stumble across a whole nest of mafia and no one would believe me and oh by the way I told you so
...then, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, STFU and GFY.
'Cause guess what? You lost too.
