Why the f*ck is Jaime Lannister, as a member of the Kingsguard, allowed to ride out of King's Landing, don Lannister red armour, and participate in Tywin's war against Robb Stark? He's not defending the King, he's not defending the realm, he's not serving the king's justice, he's being a Lannister fighting in a Lannister war. So why was he allowed to leave and participate without anyone questioning it? Further, he's raised to captain of the Kingsgaurd while he's a captive!

I won't spoil anything coming up, cause I don't know know anything coming up. Even if I did I wouldn't spoil it for ya. My predictions are pure conjecture, just musings.

I clicked on a couple of the past stream of spoilers and decided they were way too advanced for where we are in the show and even the books right now. We've mostly used spoilers to discuss how scenes in the show are going to affect impending events, but these spoilers are getting really far beyond that and would be better served in their own thread.
On an entirely different note, I just finished rewatching season 1. There's something that always bothered me about Jaime Lannister being captured by Robb and that entire storyline, which I finally figured out.

When Sandor Clegane bails on King's Landing in season 2, he is stripped of his post as a member of the Kingsguard. Why not treat Jaime the same?

Regarding allister thorne, no i didn t follow any of it. I don t remember every guy in the night s watch since season one, and year after year, there are some very minor characters that you forget about since nothing tells you they will still be around in future seasons, and you see them very sporadically.
By the way; just heard that the actress that does shae is an ex porn actress.
patches70 wrote:Also, a bit of trivia. The former Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Jeor Mormont, you remember him, murdered by the deserting crows as Caster's Keep. The big burly fellow who once forbid Sam Tarly to die.
Well, Jeor Mormont is Jorah Mormont's father. Jorah, recently released from the service of Mother of Dragons, Daenerys.
Before joining the Night's Watch, Jeor marched off to war with Ned Stark during the rebellion. After the war Jeor abdicated his Lordship on Bear Island and joined the Night's Watch leaving his son as the new Lord of Bear Island.
When Jorah fled Westeros (to keep his head and avoid Ned Stark's sword), Jorah left his House's Valyrian steel sword, Longclaw. This sword was delivered to Jeor at The Wall. Which later, Jeor gave that very sword to Jon Snow.
And of course, we see Longclaw in the last episode, disemboweling wildlings and at the end of the episode Jon giving Longclaw to Sam for safe keeping.
Longclaw is an ancient and famous sword in Westeros. And Jorah's family sword is now owned by Jon Snow. Or maybe by Sam Tarly, depending on how Jon's meeting goes with Mance!
Hahaha!

Also Podrick Payne, Tyrion and now Brienne's squire, a comedic character with good intentions is related to Ser Ilyn Payne, the frightening mute executioner for the Lannisters!
