OMG! That's AWESOME! :D And I didn't know you were on Master Chef! And they mentioned (or implied) the Annual Risk Classic, too! Wow! That murder mystery stuff sounds like loads of fun!

OK two points:
(1)this was in the UK, many years ago. I was in the competition three times, the last in 1995.
(2) I didn't get anywhere near the finals, I don't know how she got that idea. I haven't called the paper to correct her tho. I did ask to see the article before it was published to correct any factual errors, and she didn't take me up on the offer.

Actually 3 points. (3)I'm still the best cook I ever met, apart from Jean-Cristoffe Novelli. Who pronounced the sauce for my lamb dish (mamcu lamb, based on an old Welsh recipe) "incredible". I think he meant it in a good way.

Still, that's pretty sweet. The only achievement like that I have is... Erm, well, I don't really have any real achievements like that.

Stir-fry.
With scallions(spring onions to us Brits), cucumber, garlic.
scallions in first with the garlic, then broccoli, then spinach, then diced cucmber (seeds removed). Add mushroom soy, rice wine, sesame oil. If you want to move out of the veggie area, add steamed chicken before the broccoli, then bacon & tiny shrimps.

I assume you'd leave a fair bit of time between the broccoli and spinach. Broccoli takes a lot longer to cook that spinach...right?

Correct. Or you can steam the broc for a few minutes before adding it to the stir fry.
