Fun Game: Hunger Games or Tea Bagger Drivel?

Postby pimpdave on Fri Mar 30, 2012 9:41 am

In this fun game, I will post a quote from either the 8th grade reading level teen oriented novel "The Hunger Games" or a quote from a so-called "Tea Party Patriot". You have to guess which one is childish fiction and which one is childish histrionic political pablum.

New quote up now!

"I guess it’s too much to hope that they’ll simultaneously destroy each other?"

Old quotes plus solution:

"You appear to be a moron-fascist hybrid."

A true tea party patriot would not use the phrase "you appear to be" but the far stronger "you are". Therefore I conclude that the quotation "you appear to be a moron-fascist hybrid" is taken from the aforementioned literary work.

I'll wait until tomorrow to give the answer and put up another quote, but I'm glad to see people are reasoning through it and not just flipping a coin.

Given the clandestine nature of the Tea Party Death Squads, I'd figure that such people would use vague phrases that reflect their ambiguous worklives. "You appear to be..." is right up the dark alley of Tea Party Death Squads.

Does this include the whole trilogy or just the first book?

That first quote was actually from The Tea Party Patriots MyFace Page. Wow!

Next quote:

I guess it’s too much to hope that they’ll simultaneously destroy each other?
