Durr when multiple countries are using the same exact currency there is no exchange rate and good luck keeping Euros from one EU country from going to another....

One could pick whatever words he chose and try to run some sort of conclusion with it, but it wouldn't be relevant because a) even though they're translated, words do have a slightly different meaning in different langauages. b) countries apparently do not care all that much about what it says in their constitution (see the american constitutions seperation between religion and state, and passive attitude towards the rest of the world)

You're not talking about the European Union, you're talking about the Eurozone! Far from all countries in the European Union are part of the Eurozone. The Eurozone is obviously a fail. By definition really. But the European Union is as succesful of an organization as Eurozone is a fail. Since the European Union was founded, no large scale wars have been taking place in Europe.
