The biggest criticism of Fallout 2 was that it was NOT different enough from Fallout.

It was a well-designed and thought out game but there were a few big decisions made (like, not letting you continue play after you finish the main quest) that sucked complete ass.
less than a month until CS: GO comes out =(

I figured I could probably get $10 of enjoyment out of the game, so I grabbed a digital version of it and have started up a character. He's a hardnosed but generally pretty nice fellow named Bebop. Ha.

I loaded my Fallout 3 game well before the final mission so I could complete all of the side quests first but anyway, the backstory of my character, named Buttmeister, is that he's hopelessly in love with Amata, the girl you're friends with in the beginning of the game, but he doesn't have the mental capacity to express himself in the way he wants so he just goes around killing everyone, regardless if they're good or bad.

Check out good old games http://www.gog.com. They have 1 and 2 on there, and a few months back they had Fallout 1 for free, so maybe they'll do it again.
As is, they have some great oldies for free and other stuff that costs like 5 dollars at most. Plus their games are much more stable than Steam's in my experience.
Signing up gets you Beneath A Steel Sky free, no financials necessary, which makes it worth a look.
