Speaking to The Jerusalem Post following the Knesset discussion, Feldman said the doctors penned a letter last week to the World Medical Association seeking to expel the Israeli Medical Association, claiming that Israeli doctors carried out “medical torture” on Palestinian patients.
Asked what the result of such a boycott might be, Feldman said it would have a “domino effect and radiate to all other scientific associations.
“A boycott of the Israeli Medical Association would prevent Israelis from participating in medical conferences [and] publishing papers in journals, would halt funding of research and joint research endeavors, and prevent membership in other medical associations,” he explained.
While Feldman said the Israeli Medical Association has been successful in countering past calls for boycotts, he fears a time may come when those opposing Israel will succeed.
“If there will be many hammer hits, eventually the wall will give in,” he said.

The pension fund for the United Methodist Church has blocked five Israeli banks from its investment portfolio in what it describes as a broad review meant to weed out companies that profit from abuse of human rights. The pension board identified Israel and the Palestinian territories among more than a dozen "high risk" countries or regions with "a prolonged and systematic pattern of human rights abuses." Other countries on the list include Saudi Arabia, the Central African Republic and North Korea.
The Methodist church has about 13 million members worldwide and is the largest mainline Protestant group in the United States. Last year, the United Church of Christ voted to divest from companies with business in the Israeli-occupied territories. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) took a similar vote in 2014.

Not put military installations in residential neighborhoods?
Actually pretty much any decent nation would do that - Russia, the U.S., France, Paraguay. Only a sub-human regime uses its own citizens as human props in a PR campaign by putting military bases in residential neighborhoods so it can cry-out "they're firing rockets at residential neighborhoods!" thus getting the American bible-beaters like Palin, Huckabee, Ben Carson, and you whipped up into an evangelical frenzy.
No matter. This dollhouse state won't be around much longer. In the words of Israeli Medical Association director Feldman "eventually the wall will give in."

You can always hope for the utter destruction of the Israeli State, but that ain't going to happen.

Oh, of course it will happen. That's not in doubt. The only thing being debated is when and how. Will it be 5 years from now in a rain of artillery shells? Or 10 years from now in fiscal bankruptcy resulting from the worsening boycotts and dwindling U.S. welfare payments? Or 20 years from now when the demographics have completed their shift to an Arab majority? Whatever way, the intellectual consensus is that Israel will not last. Israel has to win every single battle. We only have to win once.
This isn't a battle to destroy Israel, that ship has sailed. This is a battle to expedite the process.

And yet you parrot all her tired, old racist tropes about Israel like "right to exist" and "firing rockets at civilian areas." How can you dislike Sarah Palin when you agree with all her dullard's foreign policy positions? Utterly amusing.
This is how a progressive politician, in this case the great socialist Member of Parliament George Galloway, deals with hearing the racist right-wing garbage you and Palin spew -
(The funniest part was at the end when the dude cried out "I'm a human being!" LOL. Having limbs in roughly the right place and a 98.6 body temperature doesn't make you human. They're so desperate for others to legitimize their fantasy that they have an actual "state" [ergo, manically calling themselves "the state of" Israel] or that they are humans. The desperation is pathetically hilarious, more so when someone like Galloway refuses to indulge it.)

I have to say: this is truly the most vile thing I've ever seen someone say on CC. I am honestly disgusted.

Israel Is Beginning to Eat Its Own
An unrelenting wave of Palestinian violence has Israeli leaders at each other’s throats — and it’s going to get even uglier.
After nearly five months of continuous violence, Israel finally seems to have lost its nerve.
Although Israelis have encountered far more serious periods of conflict with Palestinians in the past, the current era of stabbings and vehicle attacks has thrown them off balance. Even in the most horrific times of the Second Intifada, when suicide bombers blew themselves up twice a week on the streets of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, a very Jewish version of the “stiff upper lip” persisted — everyday life continued apace, with businesses and schools remaining open.
This time, however, things have evolved differently. While the number of casualties remains significantly lower than the comparable period in the beginning of the Second Intifada in 2000 — 174 Palestinians and 31 Israelis have died so far, about 60 percent of the numbers last time — the Israeli reaction seems far more frantic and confused.

Agreed. It's a kind-of thuggish, violent extremism that seems to infect all of Bernie the CC-ers posts. He has adopted many extremist right-wing viewpoints, from parroting Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee's anti-Arab screeds, to providing detailed descriptions of his rape fantasies.
