This has been my experience. To be fair, however, I'm comparing what amounts to Chinese-American takeout and Thai-American takeout. The best Chinese dinner I had was in Toronto's Chinatown, and it was absolutely delicious, better than any East-Asian dish I've ever had. Peking Duck. I'd go back to Toronto just for that food. Calling the food we get in most Chinese restaurants "authentic Chinese" is probably like calling Olive Garden "authentic Italian".
We get Thai once a week. I can't remember the last time we got Chinese.
Bollocks.

I echo this except it was San Francisco's China Town.

Umm...I think I have had green curry (yellow and red many times). Is green Chinese? I thought I had it in a Thai restaurant though.
