Is Using Bollocks as Your Catchphrase Admissible?

Postby Funkyterrance on Fri Sep 04, 2015 12:23 am

So, just wondering, as an American citizen, would it be considered in bad taste or pretentious, even, to force upon myself the catchphrase of "Bollocks"? I've been pondering this one for some time, really.

I don't think it's worth getting your knickers in a bunch about.

Shag it.

Yeah, as I said, I've been toying with the idea for some time. I let it go but it has a way of creeping back into the front of my mind when I read a particularly "manly" post that smells, very faintly, of dead fish, low tide, unfresh-ness, etc..

Saying "bollocks" is ok. It's talking bollocks that's the problem.

But does "Bollocks" as a catchphrase ,in fact, mean anything? Would "bullshit" or "bullcocky" be just as good?

That's racist. I believe the approved expression now is bullNordic-American.

The question is illogical. Is your catchphrase "admissible"? Admissible as what? Evidence? For what are you admitting it? Or was the word you were looking for "permissible"? Minds lacking in creativity always resort to plagiarism, so feel free and help yourself. Imitation, flattery, and all that.

Hey, there Mr. Dictionotomy!

Capable or worthy of being admitted? I guess in this case, to the collective conciousness of conquer club? As I mentioned before, I've pondered on this for years and I'm still not convinced it's admissible. Convince me, please! Do you want me to beg? Because I'll beg if that's what it takes.

You can always personalise it and spell it "bollox" or "bollix".

Ooh, now that's an idea. Pizazz! Something to jazz it up a little. I like it!

I'm feeling sooo agro today. I actually scolded and wagged my finger at my poodle this morning for piddling(again) in my prize rosebed.
