All you Canadians who depend on exporting 75% of your products to the United States are gonna get a bigger shaft.

What was a $20 million airplane yesterday just became an $80 million airplane by command of President Trump. Good luck to the Bombardier sales department! =D>

Good news. In response to a plea by the Government of Quebec, President Trump - in his magnanimous wisdom and mercy - has agreed to reduce the duty on Bombardier aircraft from 300% to 292%.

Huh? I haven't even calculated my savings in terms of tax bracket but - based solely on the doubling of the standard deduction - I'll instantly save $1800. Whatever my marginal rate savings are on top of that is just icing.

You wanna know how far $1800 goes at Kohls? I could basically buy the entire young men's department and half of housewares.

Honestly, I would never believe Warren Buffet. Do you think he got as rich as he is through transparency and honesty? This is a person who abuses the system five ways to Sunday.

I live in a state that depends on SALT. In don't know if I will pay more or less but I don't care. I'll just take the small business incentives and relax knowing that the local coffee shop won't be going out of business. Nor will the guy who cuts my hair. Nor will the shops that have things from organic mint tea to cheese.

The more people that work, the more people that stay in my town, the more people paying property taxes, the less property tax I owe. That should be a greater savings than any loss of SALT deduction because the deduction is always less than the tax.

Tax cuts to business does not create jobs. Consumer spending and demand for products and services create jobs.

Corporate welfare is what this is all about.

Sorry dude, I dislike Trump just as much as you do and believe the US could use a shift to the left, but this is simply wrong. I just read an article yesterday in a Belgian newspaper how FDI from american companies into my country will likely drop. Even this side of the pond opinions are the new taxing system will most definitely make it more interesting to invest in the USA and create jobs.

That being said, this does not mean there aren't any draw-backs. Despite job-creation it may very well lead to a worsening of the american economy, both in terms of budgetting and proportionate wealth increases. The Tax Policy Center predicts a 0.4% rise for the 20% poorest, a 2.9% rise for the 20% richest and even a 4.1% rise for the 5% richest. This means that in terms of inflation and wealth distribution, the lower class will actually move backward and the rich class will gain.

Job creation alone means nothing, the quality of the jobs is equally if not more important.

meh, whatever - don't live there, so i dont really care. the only point i was trying to illustrate is that Trump is lying through his teeth when he says this is supposed to help the working class, because it doesn't. and yet, for some reason, the karels of the US(whom i can only assume is at best, middle class - based on his grammar) continue to cheer him on like he's doing them a service. Trump has only made the people who bankrolled his campaign wealthier & not the "average karel".

WTF? I'm working class and I'm getting a tax cut. How is that not helping me by letting me keep more of my own money? I don't give a shit if a richer person gets a bigger tax break than me, they pay more taxes than me! I'm all for the IRS taking less of my money. I don't give a shit if businesses pay less taxes either. It's their money and somehow people seem to think that the government is entitled to take more and more of people's money. f*ck that.

Like you said, you don't live here, you have no idea of how overtaxed we already are. It's not just Federal taxes. It's state taxes, local taxes, municipality taxes, county taxes, sales taxes, gas taxes, luxury taxes. I could list the taxes forever. Even worse, I could show how the same dollar I earn keeps getting taxed over and over again. It's ridiculous. Any tax break is a relief. I just wish it was an even bigger tax cut.

Not only that, but the US government does a lot of questionable and downright shady, immoral and unethical shit with our taxes. And that's not even taking into account the outright illegal shit they do with our taxes! Starve those fuckers I say, the sweat of my labors are not entitled to anyone else but me. Same goes for everyone else, including business owners.

I'm sick of paying for the "American Empire". I'm sick of paying for color coded coups around the world. I'm sick of paying for kickbacks, military aid and economic aid to countries that quite frankly, are evil by every definition of the word. I'm sick of subsidizing Europe's socialist nightmare by the US being on the hook for her defense. Europe can defend herself God dammit! Those bastards don't need my tax money to save their asses from the Russians.

If you are a person that doesn't think you are getting taxed enough, then send a fucking check from your own funds to what the f*ck ever shitty government you got and stop telling the rest of us that we are getting screwed because our shitty government is taking less of our money, however paltry that relief is.

What's a business? I know a lot of people in "small business." I know of one person who is overworking himself to death because he can't afford to pay another staffer at his recumbent bicycle store. A lot of small businesses are like that, they lack that critical level needed to get them to the next level. In fact, This Is The Happiest Small Business Owners Have Been Since 1983.

I just ran the numbers and I'll pay a mid four-figure amount less in taxes in 2018 than in 2017.

I'll give a portion of that to Trump 2020 as a tithing of thanks and spend the rest on jean shorts.
