Two planets this week, some 45 minutes before sunrise. We have lots of Clouds in VA, sadly.

It's still pretty chilly out for me. I think my telescope is in cold storage in my wife's trailer.

The sky was super clear last night, you could see some stars nearly right under the street lights but I did not take advantage of that.

There is an observatory in Idaho that is opened to the public for a few hours Monday to Thursday. Might have to check it out sometime.

Triple post, yay.

I pulled off the highway twice a few hours ago. Once near an RV park in Arizona then at a truck parking area near Mesquite. They were both pretty good because the sky is clear the only problem was all the headlights on I-15. Best sky I have seen for a while though. Only optical assistance was my glasses though.

I looked at the sky near the moon shortly before dawn a few days ago and saw 2 planets, most likely Venus and Saturn.

Most likely Jupiter and Saturn if it was a few days ago. Tuesday morning I was out pre-dawn. Venus did rise eventually.

I was totally unaware of the fact I never saw Alpha Century. I'm not sure that is the right spelling but that's what auto fill wants there.

think it's alpha centura....

also, the alpha means it's the brightest star in it's respective constellation. :geek:
