EU's Brexit deal is 'paramilitary punishment beating'

As the UK's Parliament prepares to vote on whether or not to accept the bullying and intimidation unleashed on it by the EU in the wake of the independence vote, let us remember the Irish political establishment's response to the unveiling of the EU's so-called 'deal' with the UK:

The DUP's Sammy Wilson has slammed the slated Brexit deal as a "punishment beating" by the EU on the UK.

Speaking to Sky News, Mr Wilson said: "This is all about a punishment beating for the UK because they dared to vote to leave the EU. And unfortunately the Prime Minister has allowed that punishment beating to be administered.

Punishment beatings are how paramilitary gangs punish those accused of violations (such as drug dealing) within areas under their control. In extreme cases the offender will be shot in the kneecaps.

I am talking about the island of Ireland, on which the DUP is one of the largest and most influential political parties.

Although as OT's number one EU mouthpiece you are doing a good job of showing everyone just how keen the EU is to play on and exacerbate the island's divisions to the fullest extent, because that is the EU's main tool in its arsenal as it delivers its Brexit punishment beating.
