Now that we've got that out of the way, what do you think about the BBC's report showing that dozens of Palestinian medics were tortured for hours inside a hospital by Israeli soldiers?

People in the hospital grounds had little protection from gunfire.

"A lot of displaced people who were living in the complex were walking around normally and they got targeted," said Nasser doctor Mohammed Harara.

On 8 February, a nurse, Hazim Abu Omar, was shot and wounded while on shift inside the operating department.

Ibrahim Salama was shot in both legs when he went outside on 10 February to see who was screaming. The pain, he told the BBC, was unimaginable.

On 11 February, two separate pieces of footage emerged of a corpse lying on the ground between the main hospital building and the gate on to al-Dahra road.

Dr Harara said bodies could stay in these positions for four or five days, with cats and dogs "eating their flesh".

The chaos and confusion in Nasser escalated further on 13 February when a handcuffed man dressed in a white jumpsuit with a piece of yellow fabric tied around his head entered the complex with orders for people to leave.

He was identified to the BBC by people at the hospital as Jamal Abu al-Ola, a Palestinian man staying at the hospital who had disappeared a day earlier. The overalls he was wearing are the same as those worn by other men detained by the IDF.

Eyewitnesses said he entered the hospital three times that day, following a precise route, and with a drone overhead.

The second time, there appeared to be a cut on his face.

"He was speaking in an unnatural way. He was so scared from everything they [the IDF] were saying to him," Dr Harara told the BBC.

"His mum was there and at that time she told him 'please come and stay with us, don't go back for them'. He told her 'I need to go back, I cannot stay.' He said if he didn't go back they would come inside and they would kill him and they would execute his family."

On the third occasion, as he left the hospital, eyewitnesses say he was shot dead.

The death toll now stands at over 31,000 Palestinians, with civilians in recent days killed in strikes on aid centres, aid convoys and in their homes.

Half of Gaza's population have been forced all the way to the southern border of Palestine, where they now live under constant bombardment by the Israeli military.

The EU's foreign policy chief has today gone on the record accusing Israel of using starvation as a weapon of war, and of deliberately provoking famine:

He also announced EU plans to shortly impose sanctions on Israeli settlers who have been using the conflict as cover to violently expand their illegal settlements on the West Bank.

The German foreign minister followed up demanding the recognition of a Palestinian state and an end to illegal settlement building in the West Bank by Israel.

Over 30% of Gazan children are now severely malnourished and rates of child mortality from starvation have more than doubled.

Oxfam has again accused the Israeli government of blocking aid from reaching Gaz, and the UN has reiterated its position that the famine is 'man-made'.

Even the US Government is upset with its pet. Today the US has said that the entire population of Gaza is now facing 'severe levels of acute food insecurity' (i.e. they are in immediate danger of starvation). This is the first term an entire population has ever been in this position, and the US Government has demanded the Israeli government take immediate action to help get aid to Gazans:

The UN has restated its position that this is Israel's fault, criticising Israel's 'extensive restrictions on the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid', restrictions the UN says may amount to the use of starvation as a method of war and therefore constitute a war crime.

Gaza is now basically a big open air concentration camp in which the IDF are exterminating Palestinians.
