Is Chinese garlic spying on Apple?

Postby bigtoughralf on Fri Dec 08, 2023 1:15 pm

US Senator Rick Scott - an elected voice of the US people - has today RAISED THE ALARM about a new threat to US national security: garlic.

Chinese garlic is a national security risk, says US senator

Scared of balloons, scared of garlic. What other Chinese things are the US people scared of?

ralf, you show that you know nothing about either agriculture or epidemiology.

Actually it is often a good idea to keep a tight rein on biological imports (including immigration) because that is exactly how disease is spread, including plant diseases that can affect crop production and biodiversity.

Glad to explain it to you, ...now you can go back and try to explain it to your unspecified foreign employers and overlords that stay hidden in the shadows!
...but be sure to remain humble and kow-tow deeply, for they shall doubtlessly be greatly displeased by your repeated failures at effectively inserting nefarious propaganda into the CC forums!

Why must you constantly blow up / over emphasize bullshit and assign it to an entire country? Are you THAT threatened by us?

This is about not wanting food that has had human waste used as its fertilizer.

You wanna eat shit? Go for it. More power to ya.

But constantly relying on inductive logic and crying "The sky is falling!" never ends well, you dipshit.

The BBC article quotes the Office for Science and Society at McGill University as saying that there is no evidence farms in China are actually doing this, and that even if they were it would be totally safe.

Try not to let US Senator Rick Scott and all his lurid but false claims about 'Communist Chims' alarm you too much.

Century eggs are great. You can have them over silken tofu with a bit of garlic, chili and oil, or battered and mixed in with minced meat. Plain is also good.

Eating fermented food is a sign of civilisation. e.g.:
  • China: century eggs, soy sauce
  • UK: Marmite, cottage cheese
  • Iran: doogh
  • Japan: miso, natto
  • India: raita
  • Arab world: kefir
  • Germany: sauerkraut

There you go. Lump every single thing that is in any way fermented and say they're all good to eat.
Compost and sewage are also fermented. One must be selective and analytical when consuming fermented substances.

(knowing chuckle)... Yes, I 'got' your feeble attempt at 'fermentation' humor, but alas you are once again ...wrong!

As you can see from the accompanying diagram, only some types of fermentative scum float, while other kinds sink to the bottom!

A friend of mine once used both top-fermenting and bottom-fermenting yeast on the same batch. Turned out strong, but didn't taste too good.

The yeasts were fighting it out... Actually, that could become a high-concept CC map. Microbe troops conquering the mechanics and cavities of an industrial brewing vat...

One archaeological hypothesis out there holds that bread and other baked goods were first invented merely as a side-product of early beer-brewing.
What were paleo-brewers to do with the dreg cakes from their vats? Why not try cooking them by a fire and see if they could be made edible.

That same claim ("The sky is falling!") has been made by ralph's PAL saxi.

I have to agree with Vot, Rat Pack, and KB on these points. ralph continues his false narratives of what issues concern the US about China. Garlic has to be very low on that list of concerns.

Besides Taiwan, the continued theft of US intellectual property by the Chinese are my main concerns. For now, the Chinese military is a threat, too, but China's shrinking population will make China less important over the next 20-30 years.

ralph continues to show that he is not very intelligent.

Yes, much ancient beer and wine was actually watered down to make an only slightly alcoholic beverage that was often safer to drink than plain water.

The article I shared is exclusively about garlic. If you're struggling with some of the more complicated words maybe you could try zooming in a bit?

Yes, I read it. My statement is still valid on your false narrative, UNSUPPORTED by your cited article. Since you cannot refute or counter my arguments, so you launch into a personal attack on my ability to read. That is patently false, as you throw out stinky red herrings.

AND you still tell LIES and do not deny THAT, ralph.

Reading it was NO struggle for me. Maybe you did, so hence you offered that preposterous idea. Please continue to impress us with your intelligence, silly-ralph.

I said that the garlic threat is of no real significance, despite what ONE Senator (of 100) said, ralph. IDIOT. You prove your lack of intelligence with every post. Let me go back to ignore you; it is worthless to respond to you. I already said it; let me say it again for the THIRD time in 5 minutes: ralph = IDIOT.

Looking at the number of edits you've made to this post, if this is improved and polished version 3 then I hate to think how incoherent and screechy the first draft must have been.
