Duk. you seem to be forgetting the fundamental principles of a Troll-Hunter.
Once a Troll-Hunter locates and identifies one or more trolls, he must then be on his highest alert.
Anything one deigns to say to a troll must be guarded and firm in its resolve.
What one should never do is try to communicate with them on their own treacherous and debased terms.
