Should D-Mac have won the Heisman?

Postby UCAbears on Mon Dec 10, 2007 9:39 pm

Should Mcfadden have won it this year? I sure as hell think he should have. Mcfadden was .2 percent behind Tebow who shouldn't have gotten it because he was a sophmore. Look back at last year and Mcfadden should have won it if it wasnt for him being a sophmore. Gosh damn critics. Because he is from here(Arkansas).

Colt Brennan!

Well seriously, if he put up those numbers at say Texas, Michigan, or USC, he'd have won hands down.

I would put him as second choice in the Dustn64 Heisman race.

Suck it up cupcake. Tebow deserved to win, but if Dennis Dixon had stayed healthy he would have won it.

I won't lie. Tebow was the best candidate. I was surprised they gave it to him.

its a tough call. I agree that dixon would have locked it, if not for ASU's defense.

Tebow had the edge with numbers, and I have never been a supporter of seniority deserves to win.

What was funny was some the the Florida fan propoganda for Tebow.

"Superman wears Tim Tebow pajamas to bed."

"Tebow has counted to infinity twice"

"TT ordered a Big Mac at Burger King, and got it"

And he also would have faced some defenses worthy of his time, but he remained at Hawaii, where they play lackluster teams all years and expect the BCS system to kiss their ass for beating 12 teams that are talent-wise comaprable to high school teams.

Sorry, im just tired of this Hawaii bullshit, they schedule the weakest non conference schedule I have ever seen, thus they should schedule harder teams to play if they expect any respect.

This is true, which is why I'm looking forward to their bowl game. If Colt and the Warriers can hold their own against an SEC team, then I think that he was robbed of the Heisman. I dislike Tebow because I think he is overrated, but even I'll admit he's damn good. I've been a Mac fan since he started playing, and I'd really like to see him win one, but I think it should have been Tebow (unless Brennan manages to prove himself).

Tebow ran for 20 touchdowns yeah, but they were all from 10 yards out or less. D-mac ran for 20 touchdowns every other one 30 yards or more. Tebow threw for 20 touchdowns, D-mac threw for 3 touchdowns and was a Running back. D mac also had 2 recieving touchdowns. He should have won it hands down.

25 touchdowns is better than 40 touchdowns?

As far as Hawaii v. Georgia, I've watched some of Hawaii's games and I would say that Georgia will probably win. Also, for those of you who might not have known, Georgia could be wearing the black jerseys again for the Sugar Bowl.

Actually, that is false. Darren McFadden only rushed for 14 touchdowns this season.
