I definitely don't subscribe to any particular company. For instance, the PS1 and NES were both phenomenal for their time, but the PS3 and the Gamecube were both lows for the same companies.

I enjoyed the original Age of Empires more than any other RTS game I have ever played. It wasn't very complicated, but that was one of it's greatest assets.

You should try AoE 3, it's pretty cool. I hope to get the Asian Dynasties one soon. Also, have you tried the Alexander RTW expansion yet?

I liked AOEII better, mainly because when i was little i was a graphics whore...Back then if i had to choose, id go with one since it goes farther back in history then II

As for AOE III doesnt look interesting to me...And i dont have a computer of my own to install games, much less run em

I have Rise of nations, age of mythology, age of empires 1 2 and 3, also Warcraft 2 and expansion.

Rise of nations, imo, is the best of them..

Consoles made my Atari?
Well most notebly this is the Atari 7800, Atari 2600 and Jaguar. These people gave us Centipede, Frogger, Defender and Pac Man. To me they made horrible consolse but gave us wonderful/classic games.

Consoles made by Nintendo?
AKA the Nintendo 64, and the Wii. They brought us Mario and Zelda. Again awesome games and techniclly lower end consoles but the games are so much fun and cheap that people love these consoles and were able to make it big. They have always been a family friendly company and target the youth but with their wii commercials they are trying to state that the wii can be for everyone. (thats why you see a party of old guys bowling)

AKA the Genesis and the Dreamcast. To me these are the worst. They brought us the 2k series and that is about it. The consoles were shit. But they did one thing right. If im not mistaken they were the first to introduce CD's instead of cartiridges.

Playstation uno, Playstation dos, and Playstation tres. This really was the turning point in the gaming industry. With playstation it had way better graphics and featured CD's. It pack way more memory and better graphics than Sega did. For a while playstation was the only real console on the market. They have quite an impressive game list too. including: Doom, Gran Turismo, Eye Toy, Final Fantasy, and SOCOM. Sony has always been a leader in the hardware but not so much game freindly type. They have always targeted harcore gamers and that may be why they are losing the next-gen race.
Consoles made by Microsoft?
My favorite. The xbox and xbox 360. xbox 360 was the first in the next-gen to come out. They have targeted the causual gamer trying to appeal to everyone on the market. They best games from them are of course HALO and fuzion frenzy.

Now, now, don't be hating on Sega. The Genesis gave the SNES a legitimate run for it's money, and while they did go downhill they had Sonic, (the original 2D, not the turdtastic modern ones) Herzog Zwei, and Gunstar Heroes. Gunstar Heroes was so amazing...am I the only one who remembers that? Surprisingly enough their last console was the first one that they did completely right...up until the Dreamcast they basically marketed towards graphics whores. I think that Sega bringing competition to Nintendo at the very least made the games that came out better on both sides. They tried even harder to pump out good games. Man, I'm gonna go play my Genesis now. That shit was great.

@Soundout: You got a couple flaws in your logic of the Playstation... For one thing Playstation was never the only console on the market, real or otherwise. SNES was out at the time of the PS1 launch. If you mean that it was the only fifth gen console out for a while, then you are correct. If not, then no. Also, I am pretty sure that Sony does not target the hardcore audience as much as you say. Almost no new games target the hardcore audience (unfortunately for me )... Although, I do not own the system, so I cannot be sure of this...

As for me, I voted Ninty. Although their good games are decreasing in output, I have played Nintendo all my life and I look forward to games like Brawl. I just hope it can be played as competitively as Melee, while still appealing to the casual audience...

I've got Civilisation 4 and the expansion pack for it..

I liked it, and play it occasionally..it's a pretty deep game. I just aint as into turn based games, as I am with real-time games...though, I was turned slightly by this one...although the online gameplay is just too slow, I haven't got the patience with it online..

They fucked up with the Wii. Originally, Nintendo had many hard-core games like Mario, Zelda, and so on. Now with the Wii, they switched their focus onto casual games. The few hardcore games dont do much, because the old-school Nintendo fanboys are too pist to stay loyal ...except Fircoal... Plus, the new gamers on the Wii will be turned off by blasting aliens in Metroid games and such.

I honestly believe that in comparison to other consoles of their time, the PS's got worse as the new ones came out. (PS1 was very good compared to other consoles....PS2 stayed in the competition, wasnt amazing but was still great.....PS3 was destroyed by Wii and Xbox

fusion frenzy?! the xbox is known for their shooters. They are the best for shooters. FF is really stupid. No one is buying an xbox360 to play FF2!! Also, dont forget that Microsoft made the PC, which is the best for computer games, and Cbox live is better than any other online competitors.
