im in the got an account but innactive. i usually check it every 1-2 days but i never do anything except remove my notifications and check my walls lol

You need a "I have no intention of telling the whole world my interests and have every corporation and their subsidiaries can try and target me with the advertisement strategies most likely to work on me, have every employer I ever want to work for just enter my name in google and find out a hundred things about me that are noone else's business and generally become totally transparent to anyone bothering to check"-option. Facebook sucks, so does myspace and every other similar site. Really, set up something private with your friends if you really want that sort of thing.

Facebook has privacy options and you cannot access it via google... you have to make an account and add the person as a friend to see anything about them.

I'm not sure, but they do have this pathetic "Fans" thing now. Basically, you declare brand loyalty. "I am a 'Fan' of Pepsi." "I am a 'Fan' of Enron." That kind of pathetic shit. I have a Facebook account with much reluctance. easy way to tell if a girl is single -- no need to do ask "what's your sitch?" as parodied on SNL last week...

I am very active on Facebook, I think it's a good utility to bound friendships and develop more friendships as well as keep in touch with old buddies!

I have one that I started years ago, that I hardly ever check now. I agree that it's best to see if girls have a significant other, and if I'm significantly better than that other and stand a chance of butting in. However, as I am now a significant other, I just log in every month or so and bite everyone I know with my zombie.

I do kinda miss the old days when it was just colleges and less myspacey. But I do like my zombie.
