Is it just some weird setting on my side, or are the smilies ridiculously ugly/different for the most part nowadays?

They're different. You'll get used to them by the time you get used to the new forum format.

But I don't understand... they weren't around right away! Can't we just stick with the old ones?

They came with the 3.0.1 "patches" update the other day. If you want them changed, make a suggestion in the Suggestion forum, see how much support you get.

They are far better in my opinion. Lol one ( :lol: ) actually looks like laughing now and suprised is awesome ( :o )
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.
